She's One Of Us There's a lot of darkness in the world, and things such as kidnappings happen quite often, but in 2005, one girl found herself saved by an unlikely trio. Of lions!! This happened in Ethiopia, where a little 12-year-old girl was kidnapped by 4 men, with very bad intentions and one was trying to force her to marry him apparently but regardless, it wasn’t good. 7. Kevin and the Sea Lion There was a man named Kevin Hines, and for him, his life was becoming too much to bear. Hines was suffering from multiple mental disorders, including depression and being bipolar. These factors led him to try and commit suicide. He, like many others decided he wanted to jump off the Golden Gate Bridge and drown or hopefully end it all as he hit the water. 6. Jambo and Levan While zoos are a fun place to go, they can be dangerous if you don't follow the rules, such as not going into the animal pens. This is what happened to a little boy in the Jersey Zoo. In 1986, a 5-year-old boy named Levan Merritt was watching the gorilla pen when he accidentally fell in somehow, getting knocked unconscious in the process. 5. Battle of the Alphas When it comes to being out in the wild, there are plenty of animals to watch out for, such as lions and tigers and bears!! For Robert Biggs, it was just another day of hiking through the woods of California. As he was going on his way, he saw something: a couple of bears. A mother along with her young cub. He was wise enough not to try and provoke them, but, just observed them from a distance. 4. Dolphin Pack You often hear tales of dolphins saving human beings from sharks, but rarely is it seen quite like it was for Rob Howes and his friends and daughter. They were swimming in Whangarei (fun-gah-ray), New Zealand, when suddenly, seven dolphins appeared around them. Quite inexplicably. They just started to circle around the group as they kept swimming. While they were all flattered and excited to be swimming with dolphins they decided to head back. 3. Deer in your Headlights One of the biggest dangers on the road isn't other people, it's deer. But sometimes, a deer can save a life, such as one who helped a woman in Oxford, Ohio. This occurred in February of 2012, when a woman was just walking through the town when suddenly a man attacked her. He grabbed the woman and pulled her behind a nearby building. 2. Mila the Beluga Whale Whales are incredibly intelligent creatures, and often surprise us at how they are able to interact with other species and even us. Mila the Beluga was able to sense something was very wrong with one particular human, and saved her life. 1. The Dolphin and Dick Van Dyke Dick Van Dyke is one of the most famous actors in history. From TV shows, to TV movies, and of course, his legendary films with Disney and more have led him to being one of the biggest stars Hollywood has ever had. But even he needed help sometimes, including from a dolphin who literally saved his life.

The Corrupt Leader L. Ron Hubbard is known for being the founder of the Church of Scientology and not as well known for his deceitful financial tactics. Operation “Snow White” While you wish this were a Disney sequel, Operation Snow White was a major criminal conspiracy perpetrated by the Church of Scientology. The Mysterious Death of Lisa McPherson Lisa McPherson was a follower of the Church of Scientology until her untimely and mysterious death in 1995. Good Touch Bad Touch Part 2 Donald Anthony Strawn, a long-time member of the church was convicted of the molestation of 2 girls, ages 11 and 13. Operation Freakout It’s best not to speak out against the Church of Scientology or you might just have a poorly titled operation carried out against you. Operation Daniel Never before has the Church of Scientology hated someone as much as they hated Paulette Cooper. Before Operation Freakout there was Operation Daniel. Operation Dynamite Operation Dynamite was the Church of Scientology’s 3rd and most devious attempt to have Paulette Cooper incarcerated or put in a psychiatric institution. The Murder Hotel Fort Harrison Hotel in Clearwater, Florida has long been the venue for Scientology retreats but not everyone returns. The Fatal Pilgrimage of Roger Nind Roger Nind was an Australian Scientologist who left the Church in 1992 because of moral differences. Harriet Baker Harriet Baker was an elderly woman and a member of the Church of Scientology. After her husband passed due to cancer the Church appeared at her doorstep and forced her to pay $1300 for an audit on grief management. Megatherium When you think of sloths, you likely think of small, slow-moving creatures, but in the Ice Age, there were types of sloths that had much more active and aggressive tendencies. One of the biggest among these were the Megatherium. How big did they get? Well, these ground sloths could actually grow up to 20 feet long, which is longer than many land creatures today, including elephants. 8. Coelacanth For 65 million years, the Coelacanth has been thought to be extinct. This fish was created during the Cretaceous period, which is when dinosaurs ruled the Earth. And by the time we got to the modern age, it was just assumed that the Coelacanth was extinct. Especially when fossils of the creature were found and no other fish in the water (that we knew of) looked like it. 7. Mokele-Mbembe In the Congo River in Africa, there used to be a creature known as the Mokele-Mbembe. It was a reptile, but one with a long neck and tail, making it sound like a Sauropod, but one that resided in the water as well as one land. Timeline wise, the Mokele-Mbembe lived around 65 million years ago. However, the people who live near the Congo River claim that they have seen the Mokele-Mbembe in the modern age. 6. Short-Faced Bear The Ice Age was home to a bear that was much bigger, much heavier, and much more aggressive than the ones today. It was known as the Short-Faced Bear, and thought it's been extinct for ten thousand years, there are those who swear it's still alive today. 5. Megalania In Australia during the Ice Age, there was creature that roamed the Outback as Apex Predator of the land, it was a massive lizard, and it was called the Megalania. This monitor lizard was bigger than a crocodile, 23 feet long to be precise. What's more, it was said to have a mouth full of teeth that were not only sharp, they were also extremely venomous. 4. The Moa While there are bipedal birds in the world today, none of them get as big as The Moa did back in its time. This flightless bird was said to have grown over 12 feet tall, and could weigh over a ton at times. Interestingly enough, the Moa was a very isolated bird, it lived on an island off the coast of New Zealand, and would actually eat plants for sustenance. 3. Saber-Tooth Tiger When it comes to the legendary Saber-Tooth Tiger, it's known as one of the most ferocious cats to ever live. These massive cats were the ancestors to many big cats that live in the world today, and they're still the prime example of how vicious the feline species can be at its peak in terms of aggressiveness. 2. Woolly Mammoth The Ice Age had many memorable creatures, ones that even are talked about to this day. But the No.1 creature of them all are the Woolly Mammoths. And though they have been extinct for more than 8,000 years ago (based on best estimates and evidence), there are some who think they are still alive. 1. Megalodon There are some who believe that the infamous Megalodon could still be alive in the oceans today. For those who don't know, the Megalodon is the biggest spark species ever to exist, that includes the sharks today like the Whale Shark and the Basking Shark.

BIGGEST Jackpot Lottery Winners Ever!
Check out the BIGGEST Jackpot Lottery Winners Ever! In February of that year, three people came forward to claim the winnings. As was their right, two of them elected to remain anonymous. However, one of the winners, Marie Holmes of North Carolina, was more than happy to step forward and admit that she had won part of the large sum. 7. $587.5 Million Dollars (2012) In 2012, the Powerball winnings were up to a staggering $587.5 million dollars. Two winners shared the prize money: Matthew Good, and the Hill Family. Good chose to remain anonymous, however, he was out of luck because lottery winners in Arizona are public record!! 6. $590.5 Million Dollars (2013) During 2013, the Powerball got up to an impressive $590.5 million dollars. In a nice twist though, only one person got the winning numbers, which meant that they didn't have to share the money with other winners. Thus, at the time, Gloria MacKenzie was the record holder for the most lottery money won by a single person. 5. $648 million dollars (2013) Also in 2013, two winners got to split the sum of $648 million dollars via the Mega Millions lottery. Steve Tran and Ira Curry. Curry was from Georgia, and Tran was from California. The irony in the case of Tran was that he had the winning lottery ticket, but didn't realize it until much later. 4. $656 Million Dollars (2012) Back in 2012, before the world was going "to end", the Mega Millions was at 656 million dollars. And in March of that year, three groups of people came forward to claim the millions. 3. $758.7 Million dollars (2017) In 2017, the Powerball reached a record margin, one of $758.7 million dollars. The winner was later revealed to be Mavis L. Wanczyk of Chicopee, Massachusetts. Needless to say, she was a bit stunned when she found out. In fact, it was because of a friend that she found out at all. The friend noted the winning numbers and when she couldn't do anything, due to the shock, the friend demanded that she sign the ticket to ensure that nothing bad happened to it, and that she wouldn't have it stolen. 2. $1.537 billion dollars (2018) Despite being touted as a "$1.6 billion dollar jackpot", the one that was just recently won in 2018 wasn't actually near that number technically. If it had, it would've been the highest jackpot in the history of the lottery. But upon further inspection, it wasn't, one in 2016 was, and the official number for the 2018 near-record was $1.537 billion dollars. Which, naturally, would be enough to satisfy just about anyone in the world with that amount. 1. $1.586 billion dollars (2016) The term "billion" gets thrown around a lot in the modern day, and the truth is, that while there are now two jackpots worth over a billion dollars in history, no one single person has ever truly won it. What do I mean by that? Well, because at present, one winning set hasn't been claimed yet, and the other wasn't won by one person. You see, in 2016, a $1.586 billion dollar jackpot was up for grabs, and everyone was buying tickets to try and earn the money themselves.

8 Old People Who Committed Crimes
Old people commit crimes and break the law too. Some even rob banks! Check out these bad grandpa's and grandma's who all got in trouble with the police. Subscribe to World5List http://goo.gl/cpJSA6 Find us on... -- http://www.boredbadger.com -- http://www.facebook.com/world5list Not every little old lady is as sweet as your grandmother, and not every old man is as crippled as he looks. Just because they’re elderly doesn’t mean they’re innocent. Drug Dealer Grandma This granny’s got more than butterscotches and tissues in her purse. And that smell isn't her dental cream...It’s the rank odor of crime. Darlene Mayes, a 75-year-old grandmother living in Vinita, Oklahoma, puts most drug dealers to shame Strapped for Cash Apparently, social security just wasn’t cutting it….so what do these elderly men decide to do? Rob a bank, naturally. In April 2010, former mobsters 73-year-old Jerry Scalise, 71-year-old Arthur Rachel, and 69-year-old Robert Pullia were plotting to rob a La Grange bank in Chicago. Not only that, they were also planning on robbing the home of late former mob leader Angelo LaPietra. Sandy Jell-O Who wants to pay for something when you can find a way to get it for free? That’s what this elderly couple did, except they weren’t clipping coupons. Toys for Granny Next time you’re grandparents come to your house for the holidays bearings tons of gifts, you may want to ask where they came from. Seventy-three-year-old Virginia Kelly, who just so happens to be a foster mother and the president of the Latino Foster Parents Association, turned out to be a real-life Grinch, stealing Christmas from poor children for years. Playing with Fire If you think you hate your in-laws, check this out. This family drama all started with a marriage and a dowry. Don’t Mess with Grandpa’s Cash If you think you want a career helping the elderly, you may want to reconsider. In 2009, James Amburn, an American financial advisor living in West Germany, had invested approximately 2,496,500 dollars on behalf of a bunch of elderly German pensioners, promising a 12 percent return. Geriatric Bonnie & Clyde This husband-and-wife duo proves that not all old people should be trusted. Ray, who was no stranger to theft and forgery, married Faye soon after he was released from jail due to petty crimes. As their need for money increased with each child born into their family, his crimes intensified. Hatton Garden Burglary This next crime earned the title, “Largest Burglary in English Legal History”...and yup, it was committed by a bunch of old guys. While old, they were definitely seasoned veterans. Once the Hatton Garden Safe Deposit Company locked its doors for Easter in 2015, four elderly men, ranging from 58 to 76 years old, entered the area through a lift shaft and then drilled holes into the nearly 20-inch-thick vault wall to get around the main vault door.

6 Places More Mysterious Than The Bermuda Triangle...?
The Bermuda Triangle is a mysterious place where ships and plains mysteriously disappear without leaving a trace but the Bermuda Triangle isn’t the only crazy phenomenal place on earth. Subscribe to World5List http://goo.gl/cpJSA6 Find us on... -- http://www.boredbadger.com -- http://www.facebook.com/world5list One of the greatest mysteries in the world is the Bermuda Triangle. A large area in the Atlantic where planes and boats mysteriously disappear Without a Trace. There've been thousands of stories to come from the Bermuda Triangle in attempts to explain the strange phenomenon but few offer concrete evidence. But you might be surprised that the bermuda triangle isnt the only crazy location on earth. The dyatlov pass If you wanted around the darkest parts of YouTube for long enough you have undoubtedly come across the story of the dyatlov pass. Going on a camping trip after graduating college with some of your best friends sounds like a great idea. That is exactly what 10 students from the Ural Polytechnic University did in 1959. On the morning of February 2nd 1959 the group of students set out On their hike. The South Atlantic anomaly. In the South Atlantic regions including much of South America and parts of South Africa there is a belt of cosmic radiation that causes severe interference for our technology. This this is called in Van Allen radiation which is a product of Earth's magnetic field holding onto charged particles from solarwinds and other Cosmic radiation. These zones in which the particles float are called radiation belts and in the case of the Earth's belt they are called Van Allen belts as they were discovered by James Van Allen. The Devil's Sea. The Devil's Sea is sometimes referred to as the Bermuda Triangle of the Pacific. the reason you probably haven't heard about it is that it is usually only referenced in Japanese culture as it lies just off the coast of Japan 100 km south of Tokyo. Point Pleasant, West Virginia West Virginia is a scary place and not just because it's the meth capital of America. The name Point Pleasant might ring a bell is it was the backdrop for the popular Richard Gere movie, The Mothman Prophecies. The movie was the dramatic retelling of the events that took place in the town of Point Pleasant from November 1966 to December 1967. Bridgewater Triangle, Massachusetts. Besides sports teams New England has little to offer with the exception of a couple haunted spots. This 200-mile expanse lies in the Southeastern part of the state just a few miles south of Boston. What makes this place so interesting is that it's famous for Supernatural, extraterrestrial, cryptozoological, and just plain old murderous activity. The Bridgewater Triangle first came to Media attention in the 1970s when people hiking through the forest claim to see reptile like birds that resembled pterodactyls. Just a few years after that another man hiking through the woods claim to see a Savage Hound so large it was able to eviscerate 2 of his horses. On another occasion a different group of people claim to see cult activity in the area. San Luis Valley, Colorado. you might remember us mentioning the San Luis Valley in Southern Colorado in a previous video. This was the place where a cattle rancher came out to find almost all of his livestock dead completely skinned alive with some of their organs almost surgically removed. maybe the most interesting part is that many of these animals were bled dry.

STRANGEST Animal Adaptations In Nature!

Wood Frogs There is a frog called the Wood Frog that does something rather odd when the cold season comes around!! Despite its name, it does not turn into wood, but something kind of similar I guess you could say. When the Wood Frog senses that cold temperatures are coming, its body will instantly freeze over. 8. Maned Wolf At first glance, the Maned Wolf that resides in South America looks and sounds like many different things. Its name alone will make you think that it is a wolf, but it is not. Its appearance in terms of its body will make you think it's a Red Fox, but it is not. The Maned Wolf is a unique member of the Canid Family (Which does indeed include wolves and foxes), but, the creature is not related to them in full, and they are their own unique species. 7. Okapi When the Okapi was first discovered by European travelers, they thought it to be a unicorn of legend. Mainly because they thought it had one horn, when actually it has two. Furthermore, the Okapi are rare creatures, and thus haven't been studied too much, but when they were able to get close to them, they were found to have a very special tongue. 6. Sunda Flying Lemur If you have ever heard of the Flying Squirrel, then you'll have a reference to use when you hear about the Sunda Flying Lemur. But, unlike Flying Squirrels, who have very furry extensions of their bodies rooted onto their arms, the Sunda Flying Lemur actually has skin flaps that it uses to glide around. 5. Kangaroo Rat Not to be confused with the Jerboa (which is another animal entirely) the Kangaroo Rat is a small creature that likes to live in the western parts of North America. Yet they're called this because they have big legs that are bipedal, and thus allow them to hop around like a Kangaroo. 4. Gerenuk The Gerenuk is a type of antelope, and just like most antelope, they live on the African plain, along with many gazelles and other creatures. However, they don't eat the same way as these other creatures. While antelopes and gazelles are good on land in regards to running and jumping, they cannot reach the trees. So, the Gerenuk evolved to give themselves longer necks and skinny legs. 3. Lyrebird There is a creature called the Lyrebird, named after the musical instrument, and it can be found in Australia, two different species of it actually. It has an adaptation of being able to mimic the sound of just about anything that it hears. This particular adaptation happens because the Lyrebird has a very complex set of vocal chords. What does that mean? 2. Irrawaddy There are many cases of dolphins helping people of the world. More times than not, this has been done as an act of mercy or rescue, as the person is getting attacked by sharks, or is in danger of drowning. However, a more "commercial" use has been found in the dolphin species known as the Irrawaddy. The Irrawaddy primarily live in the waters of southeast Asia, such as the Bay of Bengal, and for many years, they observed the local fisherman capture fish. 1. Greater Short-Horned Lizard The greater short-horned lizard is commonly defined as a "sit-and-wait" predator, as it'll use patience to wait for food to come to it in order to live, but, when predators come its way, its adaptation kicks in. This lizard has a way of exerting pressure within its body to actually build up packets of blood. Then, when the predator is close enough, it'll actually squirt the blood its "stored up" at the predator in question, and it'll squirt it from its eye.

14 RAREST Cat Breeds In The World!

Serval Let's start off with easily one of the most exotic cats out there, the Serval. You'd be forgiven for not knowing about this special cat, as it's from Africa. But what I told you that the Serval is actually pretty popular in the US as a pet? It's true. 13. Peterbald Here's a unique cat that will make you do a double take. the Peterbald are a species of cat that are found mostly in Russia, and have a trait of not having hair. So they're quite literally bald cats. Though, to be fair, not all of them are bald, some do get hair, but they do often lose it. 12. Korat Though cats are accepted in most cultures in the world, that doesn't mean they don't get their fair share of superstitions attached to them. A black cat for example can be viewed as bad luck, but also, there are good luck cats. One of which is the Korat. 11. Caracals Heading back to the exotic kinds of cats, the Caracals is one that is both stunning to look at, and is very interesting in terms of how it acts. You see, Caracals are a type of Lynx, another exotic cat that has been known to have some aggressive tendencies at times. Because of this, you might think that the Caracals are the same , but you would be wrong. 10. The Norwegian Forest Cat Here's a cat story you might like. The Norwegian Forest Cat is a breed of cat that is very popular in Europe. However, during World War II, this particular cat was almost made extinct. It survived however due to the efforts of the Norwegian Forest Cat Club. 9. Serengeti Sometimes, you're not born into the world an original, you're created, and cats have been breed that way for a long time believe it or not. A great example of this is the Serengeti. This species is a recent addition to the cat world, as they were "developed" in the 1990's by crossing the Bengal and Oriental Shorthair species. 8. Ocelot Ocelot's are one of the more known exotic species of cats in the world. Mainly because they're gorgeous, and people have tried to make them pets for quite some time...with mixed results. Have you ever seen Archer? Yeah, that's a good example of how not to raise an Ocelot. 7. Ragamuffin While this may have an odd name, the Ragamuffin is surprising unique in terms of other cats. This particular breed was only recognized in 2003, but has taken the cat world by storm since then. It's a mix of specials including the Ragdoll and certain breeds of street cat, but when you look and touch its fur and see its eyes, it's clear how special it is. 6. Geoffroy's Cat From a rather big domestic cat to a very small exotic one, let's talk about Geoffroy's Cat. No, this isn't a cat owned by a specific person, but a whole species, and one that measure in as one of the smallest cats on Earth, to the extent that when they're fully grown they only weight at max eight pounds. 5. California Spangled Developed in the US at the "urging" of anthropologist Louis Leaky, the California Spangled is now one of the rarest cats in the world today. Proving that even cat breeds can go out of style. As you can see, the California Spangled was made to resemble the cats of Africa. 4. British Shorthair It's well known that cats live long lives, and have been around for a VERY long time. But this species is one of the oldest known cat breeds ever, the British Shorthair. This cat is so revered in the UK that it's inspired many things, not the least of which was the look of the Cheshire Cat in Alice in Wonderland. Plus, it's the most pedigreed breed in the country. 3. Turkish Van This one deserves a special spot on my list because of its unique fur and personality. Anyone who's raised a cat knows that though they drink water, they don't bathe in it, right? And only jungle cats will swim in water, right? Wrong! Meet, the Turkish. 2. Egyptian Mau Another cat that looks like a jungle cat, the Egyptian Mau is unique because its spots are actually natural to it. No breeding or development required. But that's only the start of what makes this cat so special. 1. Bombay If you have been paying attention, you'll have noticed that people really want miniaturized versions of wild big cats like Lynxs, bobcats, jaguars, lions, etc. Another cat that people have apparently wanted to "miniaturize" is the panther. And because of that, the Bombay was breed.

5 Miracles Science Can’t Explain
Science has explanations to many questions in different fields, but for these miracle happenings not even science has any answers. Subscribe to World5List http://goo.gl/cpJSA6 Find us on... -- http://www.boredbadger.com -- http://www.facebook.com/world5list Every now and then scientists come across an event that doesn't seem like it can be explained rationally. Many of these situations are seen in f quantum physics but this is mostly due to our lack of understanding in the field. Some of the most interesting stories that science can’t explain come from the medical field. These stories range from the disappearance of a fatal disease to people returning from the dead. Join us as we look at various miracles that science can’t explain. Lynn Jennifer Groesbeck How does someone who has been dead for 14 hours call out for help? That is exactly the mystery that Spanish Fork police have been unable to answer. Early one morning on the Spanish Forks River officer Bryan Dewitt received call from a local claiming that there was an overturned car in the river. The man on the phone said that he could hear a baby crying and someone screaming from within. The water was rushing far too fast for him to reach the car so he was unable to help. Police immediately rushed to the scene of the accident and began trying to reach the overturned vehicle. Sharyn Mackay Here is one of the most popular medical miracles that science was unable to explain. You might remember back in 2009 where a woman from Northern Ireland was diagnosed with spindle cell carcinoma. She was one of 10 cases where the disease had spread to her kidneys. Doctors told Mackay that many of the most lethal tumors were inoperable and chemotherapy was likely going to be ineffective. In true Irish fashion they told her to grab a beer because it was time to tell her family that she was not going to make it through the year. Mackay and her family were devastated by the news. Ruby Graupera-Cassimiro You have undoubtedly heard stories about people going for a few minutes without a pulse and returning to life via the magic of defibrillators. But rarely do you hear stories of people coming back and living normal lives after the 5 minute mark. It is after this 5 minute mark where your brain begins to experience permanent damage due to oxygen deprivation. Despite this little fact there have been some people who have returned to the land of the living without experiencing any adverse effects from their temporary death. Grayson Kirby If you participate in a demolition derby or bull riding you should expect to get a few broken bones every now and then. Grayson Kirby decided to take the risk of participating in a derby and got a little bit more than he bargained for. During the competition he was part of a nearly fatal wreck. Nearly 50% of the bones in his body were either broken or outright crushed in the accident. Both of his lungs were collapsed and he had severe organ damage and internal bleed. In the ambulance the paramedics said that they were unsure if he would make it to the hospital. Water-house Friderichsen Syndrome Water-house Friderichsen Syndrome it might sound like a textbook publishing company but it is actually a rare blood disease. This bacterial blood infection often causes massive hemorrhaging into the adrenal gland. The symptoms that follow usually include low blood pressure, comas, organ failures and shock. The infection can be brought on for a number of reasons from meningitis to pneumonia. In the case of a medical student in 1975 it was the latter. While the disease is treatable if dealt with in a timely fashion it usually leaves the patient incredibly disabled. In the case of this medical student she was working at a facility that had a 0% success rate with the infection. These have been some of the strangest miracles that science can't explain. Let us know some of your favorite miracles in the comments below. STRANGEST Things Found In OUTER Space!
Check out the STRANGEST Things Found In OUTER Space! From mysterious unexplained objects floating around to some of the weirdest planets in our universe, this top 10 list of strange objects in space will amaze you! Subscribe to World5List: http://goo.gl/cpJSA6 Check out our "Superpowers You Can Get RIGHT NOW!" video at: https://youtu.be/a6QmVdBTf0g Check out our "6 Places More Mysterious Than The Bermuda Triangle...?" video at: https://youtu.be/v9VarHk6_cY Check out our "8 Bizarre Things People Found in Their Pool" video at: https://youtu.be/gH7ywvBgXkE 8. THE HOT-COLD PLANET When it comes to exploring space, one thing many scientists look for are planets that humans could eventually inhabit. One planet that would be a potential option if it weren’t 20 light years away is Gliese 581 c, which was discovered in 2007 and is what’s known as a “super-Earth” planet: an exoplanet with a mass that’s greater than Earth, but is much lower than the ice giants Uranus and Neptune. 7. BLACK WIDOW PULSAR Pulsars are binary systems containing rapidly spinning neutron stars, which are the compacted core remnants of massive stars that have exploded as supernovas. Neutron stars are typically only as wide as a city, such as Manhattan or Washington, D.C., but weigh around twice as much as the Earth’s sun. One type of pulsar, known as the “black widow,” is named as such because its neutron star consumes its brown dwarf star companion. 6. RUM-AND-RASPBERRY CLOUD In 2009, scientists discovered a massive dust cloud that had formed 390 light years from the center of the Milky Way galaxy, and they deduced that it smells like rum and tastes like raspberries. Yum! Of course, the cloud, which spans across 150 light years and is named Sagittarius B2, isn’t made of actual rum and raspberries; rather, it’s comprised of elements of both. 5. 3753 CRUITHNE The possibility of an asteroid hitting Earth - potentially for the second or third time, depending on how you interpret history - is one of humanity’s biggest fears. Despite what movies have led you to believe, it’s doubtful we could stop such a colossal chunk of space rock from colliding with us. But asteroids can be neat to learn about - from afar, of course - and in terms of weirdness, the asteroid known as 3753 Cruithne is more than a little odd. 4. HYPERVELOCITY STARS When you think about “shooting stars,” you probably envision streaks of light dancing across the sky; and, depending on your beliefs, you might make a wish. However, those aren’t stars you’re seeing - they’re fragments of meteors. Which is why, when many of them fall at at the same time, it’s called a “meteor shower.” But that doesn’t mean there aren’t shooting stars out there in the universe. There are - well, sort of - and they’re both fascinating and confusing. 3. THE MOST MASSIVE AND BRIGHTEST OF STARS Stars fill the galaxy, but just as there are many types of people, there are many different types of stars. There are small stars, big stars, colossal stars - the list goes on. And, then there are plain old heavy stars like R136a1, which isn’t the biggest star by measurement of radius or volume, but by mass and luminosity. Its mass is 256 times that of Earth’s sun - double what astronomers thought was possible previous to its discovery. 2. GALAXY X One of the biggest mysteries of the universe is the presence of dark matter. Scientists know it’s out there, but have struggled incessantly to catch a glimpse of it. However, they may be closer to achieving this goal. While speculated upon for years, the first true “evidence” of the existence of a dark matter galaxy came in 2009, when ripples of energy were detected in the Milky Way’s outer disk without any clear source. 1. ROGUE PLANETS All of our solar system’s planets are bound by the gravity of our sun. Most of the universe’s solar systems are based on a similar model. Yet, there are some planets out there that aren’t bound by the gravity of stars. They’re called rogue planets, and they move throughout the galaxy after being evicted from their star system, or never having actually belonged to one.

11 Most Overlooked Unsolved Mysteries in History
There are a lot of unanswered questions about mysteries in history. We explore some of the most overlooked mysteries in history. Subscribe to World5List http://goo.gl/cpJSA6 Find us on... -- http://www.boredbadger.com -- http://www.facebook.com/world5list It is the fate of some questions to go unanswered throughout the ages, but even these unresolved issues can become neglected when enough time passes. Coming up… Poseidon’s ancient city, European mummies, lost civilizations, and more. Join us as we explore some of the most overlooked mysteries in history! City of Helike When you worship the god of the sea, you might do well to fear his wrath if you anger him. The Greek writer Pausanias described an amazing city called Helike that worshipped Poseidon and was a bustling metropolis of trade, commerce, and religion… until it was destroyed. Carnac Stones Stonehenge is a famous and long-standing architectural and historical mystery, but it’s not alone in this category. The Carnac stones are a lesser known but equally confusing phenomenon. The Fall of the Minoans The legend of Theseus and the minotaur in the labyrinth is a wonderful tale, but it raises some unanswered historical questions. On the island of Crete, where this wonderful civilization did in fact prosper, despite a story of bull-headed demi gods, there lie the ruins of an ancient civilization whose extinction is still a mystery. Tarim Mummies Finding well-preserved bodies is always an interesting day in the life of an archeologist, but some of these graves provide more questions than they answer. In the Tarim basin of Western China, a team on a dig discovered two thousand year old mummies in early 1990s. Easter Island There are many obvious mysteries about Easter Island, and almost all of them are centered around the giant, iconic heads that litter the landscape. But these photogenic monuments take away from one of the deeper, more subtle mysteries. Rongorongo predates the statues, and is a manuscript describing a language of possibly the first inhabitants of the island. Bog Bodies The preservation power of tar pits allows us to take a deeper look at ancient creatures like the wooly mammoth, but when it comes to humans, things get a bit weirder. The marshes and wetlands of Northern Europe are home to a number of interesting, boggy landscapes, but as a traveler you might be inclined not to dig too deeply. Jack The Ripper Some crimes go so long without being solved that the cold case just gets buried in the decades. For over one hundred years, various historians, crime-writers, and detectives have been trying to solve the identity of the man known as Jack the Ripper. The Mary Celeste There are many mysterious disappearances that take place in the vast realm of the sea. In 1872 the American merchant ship The Mary Celeste departed New York for Genoa on November the seventh. A Canadian ship found her off of the coast of Azores Islands completely adrift. Devil’s footprints Some historical mysteries lead in a direction that few want to follow. In the early morning of February 9th, 1855, townsfolk in southern Devon came across a set of footprints that chilled their hearts and raised some pretty severe questions. A single, straight line of footprints looked as if it had been branded in the deep snow with a hot iron. Voynich Manuscript Just because something is an unknown mystery for the ages, doesn’t mean it can’t be beautiful. The Voynich manuscript is what remains of a large, elaborate book dating back to the early fourteen hundreds. What makes this article unique is that it’s in a language no one has ever seen before, and no one knows what the book is about. Indus Valley The collapse of the Mayan metropolis was impressive and well-studied, as the society crumbled due largely to disease brought by the conquistadors. It’s odd then that a similar ruined civilization in India should receive so little attention, considering its size and the mystery of its decline. This concludes our list of most overlooked mysteries in history. What baffling ancient secret did you find most compelling? What odd historical unknown did we miss? Let us know in the comments below.

10 Chilling Disney Ghost Sightings
Disney is known for its nice and happy movie productions for the youth but you would never believe these mysterious stories about the Walt Disney Company. Subscribe to World5List http://goo.gl/cpJSA6 Find us on... -- http://www.boredbadger.com -- http://www.facebook.com/world5list Who would have thought that the happiest place on earth is also the creepiest? What many don’t know is that Disney has a tremendous amount of ghost sightings. Haunted Mansion Ghosts The Haunted Mansion seems to be the most appropriate place for a Disney spirit to hang out, and there definitely isn’t a shortage of spooky stories that emerge from the allegedly haunted attraction Unknown Little Boy We’ll begin our spooky stories with that of a little boy that is said to haunt the Haunted Mansion. A Bizarre Memorial That little boy in the picture isn’t the only child that loves to play in the mansion...there’s another one, but this one is a tad bit creepier. Ghostly Employee Unlike the eerie little boys that disrupt the Haunted Mansion ride, this next ghost might just prove to be more helpful. Pirates of the Caribbean Ghosts While the Haunted Mansion seems to be the most obvious place to find a ghost, the Pirate of the Caribbean ride is another popular spirit hot spot. George George is definitely the most famous Pirates of the Caribbean spirit. According to legend, a man named George, who worked as a construction worker in the early 1970s, helped build the ride but died a tragic death on the job. Other Pirates of the Caribbean Ghosts There are a few other ghosts that have been seen roaming around the inside of this popular attraction. Other Ghost Sightings While most of the famous ghosts are seen on two of the park’s most popular rides, they aren’t the only places you can go ghost hunting. The Unamused Ghost When one individual boarded the Dinosaur ride in the Animal Kingdom, an undistinguished older man sat down next to him. Haunted Dolls According to the word on the street, several Disney employees loved working at the It’s a Small World ride so much that they never really left. The Tower of Terror Bellhop One of the employees that was hired to be a Tower of Terror bellhop died from a heart attack during his shift. Space Mountain Hitchhiker If you ever find yourself sitting next to an empty seat on Space Mountain, it probably won’t be empty for long. Roy Disney Some Disney guests have claimed to see the ghost of Walt Disney co-founder Roy Disney on Main Street U.S.A. Every time he’s spotted, he’s smiling. These are just some of the ghost sightings and stories that we found floating around. We’re sure there are other Disney legends and ghostly tales that we haven’t heard of. Do you know something about the haunted Disney parks that we don’t? Tell us in the comments below!

13 Amazing Pets Who Saved Their Owners
Pets can be very loyal and in some cases they are able to save their owners life when something bad happened to them. Here are some pets who saved their owners. Subscribe to World5List http://goo.gl/cpJSA6 Find us on... -- http://www.boredbadger.com -- http://www.facebook.com/world5list Pets Who Saved Their Owners Let's face it we can't leisurely look through Instagram without coming across an adorable puppy or kitten photo, and what would our days be like without these cute and cuddly critters?\ Kelsey New Year's Eve is an exceptionally fun and exciting time for most individuals, but this wasn't the case for one Michigan man. The man was watching a football game and decided to go outside for commercial break to get some firewood when he slipped and fell on the ice. Fidge We've heard of a cat scan, but this might be a little extraordinary. This heroic animal might just be what hospitals all over the country need to order. One woman claimed that her pet cat, Fidge ended up saving her life. She alerted her of her Breast Cancer diagnosis before it was too late. Dopey Don't be fooled by the name because Dopey is an intelligent dog with a special gift. There's plenty of research that prove dogs can sense when their owners will have an epileptic seizure. One strong bond was formed by a 12-year-old and his 4-year-old service dog named Dopey. Sergeant Stubby Dogs really are man's best friend, especially if that man happens to be a soldier in World War 1. Sergeant Stubby became the official mascot of the 102nd Infantry Regiment of the U.S in the first World War. He served 18 months and was active in seventeen battles on the Western Front. Nanook Dogs are pretty great swimmers, but there are quite a few breeds that don't take so keenly to the waters. Lucky for one man that's not the case with this chocolate Labrador named Nanook. Ferocious Lion Saviors It's hard to imagine a world that exists where little girls can be kidnapped from their families and then be beaten and raped until they give in to marrying a person. That kind of world does exist, but lucky for this little girl she had some help from the top of nature's food chain, three lions came to her rescue after she had been missing for a number of days and was being attacked by seven men. Lily The tornado that went through Joplin, Missouri was one of the most devastating ones to ever hit the United States. There was one sweet pup who worked tirelessly during rescue efforts and saved many people in the aftermath of the tornado. Killian It's easy to understand why parents have started putting nanny cams in their house just as a precaution, but lucky for this family that it was their pet dog who ended up saving their young son from abuse. The South Carolina babysitter was arrested after being attacked by a dog, but it turned out the dog was actually protecting his 7-month old owner. Heroic Bear One unexpected savior came when a senior citizen was hiking and a mountain lion suddenly attacked. The lion ended up biting down on the California man's arm, but he was lucky enough to be saved by a bear. The bear ran from a nearby area and scare off the mountain lion. LuLu If you first came across LuLu, the potbellied pig you probably wouldn't think much of her. Lulu's owner suffered a heart attack while vacationing in the Northern woods of Pennsylvania. Togo No plane or ship could reach an isolated Alaskan village known as Nome in 1925 and the town was struck by a case of diphtheria. This is spread through the air and takes two to five days for symptoms to occur.

Carolyn Cascio The legends that surround the Bermuda Triangle are numerous and bewitching, but many of them can be "explained" in one way or another. But when it comes to Carolyn Cascio, her disappearance via the Triangle is much more haunting. 7. John Reed John Reed went on a trip from California to Brazil in 1980. What was the purpose of him going so far from home? Well, he wanted to go on an adventure, specifically, one to find an ancient lost city called Akakor. Rumors had it that the city had been lost for a long time, and was hidden somewhere in the expanse of the Amazon Rainforest. 6. Natalee Holloway Young Natalee Holloway was like many students after they graduated. She was looking forward to the life that was going to be given to her. But, before she had to settle into "real life", her and her friends went to Aruba. This trip in 2005 started out like any other, but then, Holloway disappeared, last being seen with a group of young men during a party at a bar. 5. Judy Smith This disappearance took place in 1997, where one Judy Smith was trying to enjoy a nice time with her new husband. Her husband, Jeffrey, was a businessman, and in fact was going on a trip to Philadelphia. Deciding to spend some more time with her new husband, she went with him to Philly. During the trip, he had to go attend a meeting, so she decided to go and wander around the city on her own. She was never seen alive again. 4. Madeleine McCann There are few disappearances more haunting than that of a child being taken away, yet in 2007 that's exactly what happened to 3-year-old Madeleine McCann. She was with her parents in a resort in Portugal. One of the benefits of the resort is that the parents have access to a suite where they can put their children in while they go and relax. 3. John Halford Many people in the world have a "Bucket List", or things they want to do before they die, for one John Halford, he wanted to go see Egypt. But, he knew that his time was running out, not in terms of life, but rather, mobility. He had arthritis, and knew that if he didn't set sail for Egypt soon he'd never be able to see it. So, in 2011, before he was set to celebrate his 25th wedding anniversary, he went on a cruise to go to Egypt. 2. Leo Widicker Leo Widicker and his wife Virginia were very active people. In fact, during their long marriage, which lasted over 50 years, they had been part of many humanitarian trips around the world. In 2001, the two joined their longtime organization Maranatha Volunteers International on a trip to Costa Rica. 1. Frank Lenz There have been many people who have traveled around the world in many different ways, but for one Frank Lenz, he had an idea so grand and so spectacular that it would be foolish NOT to do it. He wanted to bike his way around the world.

Canadian Pathway To America Back during the ice age, early humans were blocked in by the ice and it was very difficult for them to get around. After all, with ice sheets covering various parts of the world, travel was very difficult, and in some cases, impossible. 7. Artifacts From Recent Ice Age When you hear the words "Ice Age", you likely think about the legendary Ice Age that happened around 10,000+ years ago. But the fact of the matter is that the Earth has had many ice ages, and humans have had to adapt to most of them. For example, there is one called the "Early Antique Ice Age" that happened between 600-700 AD. 6. Glacier Archaeology One of the reasons why we can learn things about the Ice Age, is that most items, and even animals, that were from that time were trapped in ice in one form or another. Whether it be bones, pieces, or even entire bodies. As such, figuring out what glaciers are going to yield the most likely place to find artifacts is crucial. Believe it or not though, the science behind this act is only a few years old. 5. Mountain Numbers In Ice Ages, many things suffer because of the massive drop in temperature and rise in ice and snow. During the Late Antique Ice Age, many parts of Europe saw their population numbers plunge because of the cold, likely due to lack of supplies, and few ways to keep warm back then. However, in the Oppland County mountains of Norway, there was something found there that many archaeologists didn't expect: people, lots of them. 4. Ice Age Predators While we have many ideas as to what and who were a part of the original Ice Age, knowing how they all interacted with each other is a very important piece of the puzzle. In the Yucatán Peninsula, there is a cave where the oldest human in the North and South Americas was found. She's also the most complete skeleton from the continents in regards to the Ice Age as well. 3. Ice Age Babies In Alaska, archaeologists found something rather interesting, a pit that had the remains of two babies who were buried there during the Ice Age. That's not the interesting part though. What is, is that they were buried with numerous weapons and items around them. Archaeologists think that this is a look into the minds and cultures that the Ice Age tribes had. 2. European Upheaval When it comes to change, not everyone reacts well to it, so when a thing like the Ice Age happens, you'd expect some turmoil to happen in various areas all over. What's interesting though, is that during the Ice Age, the continent of Europe was apparently broiled in upheaval and strife as various forms of human life struggled to survive. 1. Ice Age Core How can you tell the age of an age? That's a rather difficult question, as there are many techniques to answer it. But, when it comes to Ice Ages, there is a telltale clue: ice. Specifically, ice that has been around for a long time. There is a technique of drilling ice and getting "ice core" as a result. This is a long slender tube of ice, and each "layer" of it defines the time that it was created.

In 1799, when Napoleon Bonaparte was raiding Egypt, a French soldier found a black basalt slab with ancient writing near the town of Rosetta. There were passages of Greek, Egyptian hieroglyphics and Egyptian demotic on it. It was later found out that the script was honoring Ptolemy V, making it form the second century B.C. But, the easily recognized Greek said that all three scripts had the same meaning. #1 Lascaux Caves This may not be gold or pearls, but it is even more important because this is a treasure for all of us!! It happened in Montignac, France in the 1940’s when four teens were out exploring and stumbled upon a collection of cave paintings. Old cave paintings, like really, really old 15,000-year-old cave paintings. It was discovered when the teens followed their dog down a hill into a cavern.

Salar de Uyuni Sometimes, a natural occurrence can lead towards an unnatural creation, and that's exactly what happened in Bolivia with the creation of Salar de Uyuni, the world's largest salt flat!! Around 30,000 years ago, this place used to be a lake, but then, it dried up, and not unlike many other lakes in the world that do this, it created a salt flat. A rather massive one actually, for every year, 25,000 tons of salt are excavated from this flat. 6. Cave of the Crystals In Chihuahua, Mexico, there is the a mine in the mountain of Naica. In 1910, miners from Penoles mining company discovered a cave full of crystals that were 3 feet long!! Called the "The Cave of Swords" it was found full of water!! They tried to keep the cave a secret for as long as they could, but word got out. 5. Waitomo Glowworm Caves In New Zealand, there's a cave that glows because of worms, giving you plenty of light to see in the weirdest way possible. Welcome to the Waitomo Glowworm Caves. What is interesting is that these glow worms are not very big. In fact, they're about the size of mosquitoes. 4. Caño Cristales River In the Serrania de la Macarena province of Meta in Colombia, you'll find the Caño Cristales (can-yo krees-tahl-es) river. This river separates itself from pretty much every other river in that at times, it'll change its color to resemble a rainbow of water!! This river has been dubbed by the locals as the "River of Five Colors". 3. Pamukkale When you look at something like Pamukkale, you would think that this was something made by human hands, but it honestly wasn't. There were thermal waters here once, and the deposits within the waters soon hardened, and created the "Cotton Castle" that you now see. 2. Light Pillars All over the world, there is a phenomena called "Light Pillars" happening. These beams of light shoot straight up into the air in a variety of colors. This is not to be confused with the Aurora Borealis. How the Light Pillars form is like this- light from the sun or the moon come down and then "light up" certain ice crystals that happen to be in the air and atmosphere at the time. 1. Asbyrgi Canyon If you take a look at the Asbyrgi Canyon, you'll notice right off that the area seems to have been made as an imprint of something. Because the lands around it start out flat, and then go deep for a certain point in time, and then just stop at the sudden outcropping of cliffs. It doesn't seen natural.

Top 10 Most Awesome Metal Detector Finds Ever
Metal detectors can change people’s life! Here are some metal detecting finds people found in various different locations. Subscribe to World5List http://goo.gl/cpJSA6 Searching for things with metal detectors has been a hobby among amateurs and professionals alike since its development in the 1920s because there’s really no telling what you might find. The Boot of Cortez Even though deserts look barren, they might be rich in valuable metals such as one lucky metal detectorist discovered in 1989. Torc Finds If you’re looking for more inspiration, here’s another story of a guy that bought a random metal detector and hit the jackpot. One day, a 35-year-old man named Dave Booth bought a metal detector. Antique Gold Chalice Next time you head out to the beach, you might want to bring along a metal detector. In 2008, a man named Mike DeMar was searching for treasure along the coast of Key West when he struck gold. Anglo-Saxon Treasure You don’t necessarily have to head to the beach or spend hours in the scorching desert to find some great treasures. One man found everything he’d been looking for right in his own backyard. Hidden Cash Speaking of finding things in your backyard, that might not be the best spot to hide your stolen cash... Ringlemere Cup Sometimes, your hobbies make you rich...like Cliff Bradshaw. In 2001, Cliff, a retired electrician, had always loved archeology and metal detecting, so he decided to make a hobby out of it. One day, while he was scanning a field in East Kent, England, he found a crumpled up piece of metal. Roman Remains Sometimes when you’re digging up ancient artifacts, you’re bound to find the unexpected. Metal detectorists, Dave Derby and Alan Standish, were scanning a site that was known to yield valuable artifacts in Nether Heyford. Roman Coins What’s better than finding a skeleton from the Roman era? Finding their stash of cash, of course. In 2009, thirty-year-old newbie metal detectorist Nick Davies was on his first metal detecting adventure, looking for hidden gems in Shropshire, when his metal detector started beeping. Axe Head If you ever dabble with metal detecting, don’t be discouraged if you don’t find something within your first few tries. Finding something of value on your first excursion is almost unheard of, and fortunately for Steve Hickling, he never gave up. Antique Pendant Who says you have to be an adult….or even enrolled in kindergarten….to be able to find valuables with a metal detector? Four-year-old James Hyatt and his father were in a field located in Hockley hunting for treasure with their metal detector when they unearthed the find of a lifetime. It’s true that you’ll never know what’s below the surface of the Earth unless you look! Have you ever found anything valuable using a metal detector? Do you know of any other great metal detector finds that aren’t on our list?

10 People who Fell into Animal Enclosures at Zoos
Subscribe to World5List http://goo.gl/cpJSA6 Find us on... -- http://www.boredbadger.com -- http://www.facebook.com/world5list Zoos are a place for the average person to see animals they might not ever get the chance to observe in the wild. Zoos also have the purpose of conserving certain species, trying to make sure they don't die out to extinction.. and in other cases they can be a sanctuary against poaching and hunters. Levan Merritt 1986 As encounters with great apes go, Harambe wasn't the first incident of a child falling into a gorilla enclosure. It happened at the Durrell Wildlife Park in Jersey, Channel Islands in the UK, when Five year old Levan Merrit somehow fell into the zoo's gorilla enclosure, falling far enough that he lost consciousness when he hit the ground. Beijing Zoo 2009 Pandas. They're endangered, and they're absolutely adorable. That cuteness draws in many crazy panda-fans for Gugu, a panda at the Beijing Zoo. People come from all over to see him, and more than a few have snuck into his enclosure. Pittsburgh zoo, 2012 For all of these stories, a surprising number don't end with someone being killed, considering they're usually just feet from dangerous and unpredictable predators. But fatalities unfortunately do still happen sometimes, as was the case for two year old Maddox Derkosh. Detroit Zoo, 1990 The Detroit zoo is a popular destination for many who wish to admire the wildlife of the world, and apparently also for those who like going where they shouldn’t be. This time though, the story has a happy ending, and the man had a good reason for jumping in. 33-year-old Rick Swope was enjoying his day at the Detroit zoo until he came across the chimpanzee exhibit. Berlin Zoo, 2009 The case of the Berlin zoo polar bear attack incident in 2009 is both mysterious and sketchy, and not much is known right down to the name of the woman involved in this incident on our list. Cleveland Metro parks Zoo, 2015 Once again, another case of a two-year-old boy being held on top of the protective railing and falling into an enclosure with several dangerous animals. Santiago Metropolitan zoo Suicide is never the answer. No matter what you might think, someone's going to be devastated by it, your community will be impacted, your loved ones will be at a loss without you and you'll be sorely missed by many. Little Rock Zoo, 2015 A young child went to the Little Rock zoo with his father and grandfather for some fun, and multi generational bonding time. Brookfield Zoo, 1996 Here we have a more feel-good story. A young child fell into the gorilla exhibit, and was set upon by a terrifying silverback female gorilla named Binti Jua. Toronto Zoo, 2016 A visitor to the Toronto Zoo must have really like her hat, because she jumped down from the observation deck and right next to a flimsy fence that had a tiger behind it, in order to retrieve it. Amidst people yelling at her, calling her a "moron", the woman leaped down and grabbed the hat while the tiger pounced on the fence separating them, desperately trying to get at her.

10 Extinct Animals You Never Knew WERE Real
Once scary, bizarre and strange creatures roamed our earth. Here are some extinct animals you didn’t even know ever existed. Subscribe to World5List http://goo.gl/cpJSA6 Find us on... -- http://www.boredbadger.com -- http://www.facebook.com/world5list The world if full of life, but not all life continues on, and if it’s not documented, or discovered, how can we know about it? Join us as we talk about some extinct animals you never knew were real. 1. Megalodon Ok, we’ll admit, you probably did know about this one, but not for the reasons of it actually being real. 2. Gigantopithecus From Jaws to Planet of the Apes, it’s honestly not too much of a surprise that there was an ape that grew to massive sizes. But what sets the Gigantopithecus apart was just how big it could get. 3. Giant Swan Ok, so we’ve had the giant sea creature, we’ve had the giant land creature, where’s my giant bird? And no, we don’t mean Pterodactyls or other dinosaurs, we meant a literal bird that isn’t around anymore. 4. Irish Elk Any hunters out there? It’s ok if you’re are, we’re not judging you, we’re using it as a point of reference. 5. Elasmotherium From giant antlers to giant horns, it’s not hard to imagine certain creatures on Earth right now being descended from the Elasmotherium. 6. Great Auk They say that history is written by the victors, and if Penguins are victors, then the Great Auk is the loser. 7. Laughing Owl From the ironic, to the creepy, let’s talk about the laughing owl. Now, technically, there are species of laughing owl still out there today. The one we’re talking about was one native to New Zealand. Species name Sceloglaux albifacies. 8. Falkland Islands Wolf I’m not going to lie, I love wolves. I love just about everything about them. So when I came across the sad tale of the Falkland Islands Wolf, I knew I had to put it on the list. 9. Bluebuck Speaking of hunting to extinction, let’s talk about the Bluebuck. This creature might be self-explanatory, but it’s still a really cool creature to think about. The Bluebuck’s were native to Southern Africa for some time. 10. Barabary Lions Many creatures on this list are considered ancestors of certain other creatures on our Earth, or “tales to astonish” in many ways. Yet, one very sad tale of extinction is very recent, and it is entirely the fault of humanity for this creatures extinction. We speak of course of the Barbary Lion.

MAURA MURRAY In 2004, a 21-year-old woman named Maura Murray asked for some time off work to visit family following the death of a relative. On her way through New Hampshire, Maura drove her car into a snowbank and became stranded. When a truck driver saw her and offered to call the police for assistance, she politely declined, noting that triple A was on their way. 4. VIRGINIA CARPENTER On June 1st, 1948, a 21-year-old woman named Virginia Carpenter boarded a train that was en route from Texarkana to Denton. Her ultimate destination was the Texas State College for Women, and during the train ride, she met a female teacher who was heading to the same location, so they shared a cab there from the Denton train station. 3. DOROTHY ARNOLD In 1910, there was a young heiress and socialite named Dorothy Arnold living in New York. Despite her privileged existence, Dorothy dreamed of becoming a writer. That year, she submitted two of her own works to a publication and was rejected. At a time when women couldn’t even vote yet and were considered second-class citizens, it was typical for their career attempts to fail. Dorothy’s friends and family were all-too-happy to make fun of her for her broken dreams. 2. ROANOKE While all unsolved disappearances are tragic, it’s downright disturbing when an entire settlement vanishes without a trace. While history fondly remembers the settlements of Jamestown and Yorktown, England had another colony that came before them - Roanoke, established in 1587 in modern-day Virginia. 1. JIMMY HOFFA When it comes to disappearances, there are a few that stand out above the rest, and one of them is the legendary and infamous Jimmy Hoffa. Jimmy Hoffa was many things, including part of the mob, and the leader of a union group called the Teamsters. On the latter front, you could say he was born for the role, as he was an activist from the early years of his life - a natural-born leader, if you will.

7 Amazing Discoveries By Amateur Archaeologists
The amateur archaeologists in this video all made some amazing finds and discoveries. These lucky people found gold, artifacts and other expensive stuff burried under the ground... Subscribe to World5List http://goo.gl/cpJSA6 Find us on... -- http://www.boredbadger.com -- http://www.facebook.com/world5list Just because you're not a professional with a degree, doesn't mean you can't find incredible things in the dirt. Sometimes, all you need is a metal detector and a lot of luck to find some of the most amazing archeological finds... Ancient ruins, coins, swords, even a World War Two bomber can all be found without any kind of proper training. Anybody can find priceless artifacts if they just look hard enough... Number X. Ballarat Nugget Gold is super valuable... at least that's what the late night infomercials say, anyway. As of writing, gold is sitting at about $39 per gram, which... yeah, that's pretty good. To put that into perspective, a gram of gold could put gas into your car, and buy you a pizza and rent a movie (if you stretched it). In other words, a gram of gold is a pretty decent night in. Number X. Roman Era artifacts Ran Feinstien and Ofer Raanan are two Israeli novice divers who were diving around the ancient port of Caesarea when they stumbled onto something crazy.... a wealth of ancient roman sculptures and artifacts. Number X. 3,000 year old Bronze-age sword For this next entry, let's head all the way to the Denmark... assuming you aren't already in Denmark, I guess. A pair of Danish friends, Ernst Christiansen and Lis Therkildsen, had brought a metal detector out for a walk out in a field, in the town of Svebolle. Number X. World War 2 Bomber found by Veterans Let me introduce you to Operation Nightingale. It's an archaeological project that lets veterans go out into the field and practice some basic archaeology at various sites. The project is used as a means to give injured veterans, or veterans struggling with psychological trauma a different kind of therapy, if they want it. That's where a group of veterans in the UK come into play. Number X. Mr. Rajaguru's Bizarre temple adventures An Indian schoolteacher walks into a forest... No, that wasn't a set-up for a joke or anything, an Indian schoolteacher, named Mr. Rajaguru was actually walking in a forest, when he found an ancient temple. That's a pretty productive hike, if I do say so myself... Number X. gold bracelets in Denmark Remember the "Apocalypse" list we did awhile back, and how we went on and on about vikings? Well that's because Vikings are cool... At least this writer thinks so, anyway. Back to the topic, though: A small team of amateur archaeologists discovered a huge cache of golden viking bracelets in Denmark. the bracelets were all found relatively close to each other... and that's a really big deal. Number X. Roman Emperor's needed slaves for their tunnels... or the other way around? Probably the other way around. Tivoli, Italy. The home of Roman Emperor Hadrian's Villa. It's a villa... with a giant system of underground tunnels! Honorable mentions: Janet Stephens, a professional hairdresser and sometimes amateur archaeologist, discovered an ancient roman hairstyle that had been lost to time. Which is super impressive and cool since it's literally a revival of history. Number X. Ithaca Ever read up on your greek? Ever hear of a little obscure book called... The Odyssey? That question was rhetorical, if you've seriously never heard of or read The Odyssey, go find your local library, if those even still exist.

LUCKIEST Discoveries That Made People RICH!
Check out the LUCKIEST Discoveries That Made People RICH! The "Royal One" In Australia, at a place called "Lightning Ridge", a man named Bobby (who refused to give his last name) was out collecting rocks for his job. As he was sifting through them, he found himself looking at a very interesting looking rock. How so? Well, this one sparkled in a way that most rocks don't, so that made it very unique and special. Liking the rock that he found, he took it home and kept it. 8. Wall Vault of Coins When you have some spare change, what do you do with it? You either put it in your wallet, put it in a jar or container for safe keeping, or you can put it in a "piggy bank" if you feel the need to be nostalgic. For one family though, they had an entirely different idea. They decided to put their spare change...in the walls of their home. 7. St. Albans Coins For "modern day treasure hunters", sometimes the easiest, and best, way to go and look for rare finds is to just go and buy yourself a metal detector. It's worked for many people over the years, and that includes a man named Wesley Carrington. Wesley was from England, and decided one day that he should go and get himself a metal detector. 6. The Hoxne Hoard In 1992, a man named Peter Whatling had a problem on his farm in Hoxne, Suffolk in England. Mainly, he lost his hammer, and truly couldn't find it. So, he brought his friend Eric Lawes and a metal detector and began to search the nearby field for his hammer. As they did, the metal detector went off multiple times, and as they dug, they didn't find the hammer. But rather, they found silver and gold, lots of it. 5. Post-It Notes While discoveries of rare items are common tales of "people getting rich", the option also applies to inventors who stumble upon their inventions that will make them legendary. Such as Spencer Silver and the creation of the Post-It Notes. It's hard to imagine modern life without the Post-It Note, but back in 1973, it was just an idea of Silver's, and not the idea you might think. All he wanted to do was make a special kind of tape that could work on paper (likely without hurting the paper like most tapes do). 4. Action Comics #1 A couple were in dire straits. They didn't have enough money to pay the bank for their home, and thus, they were going to lose it. As they were cleaning out the attic, they came across some boxes that they didn't realize were there. They began to search them to see what was inside, and when they did, they found something they didn't expect: a comic book. But not just any comic book, Action Comics #1. 3. Whale The title may sound disgusting, but it's actually true in regards to what I'm talking about. Mainly, that the projectile from certain whales is actually a very valuable item. The scientific name for this is Ambergris. What it is, is the that Whales spit up while in the ocean. Because it's lighter than water, it actually floats up to the surface. Then, being exposed to the sunlight, as well as mixing with the salt water, it creates a hardened material that is actually very valuable. 2. The Two Million Dollar Penny Robert Lawrence was the son of a proud worker of the US Mint in Denver, Colorado. However, when his dad died, he packed up all his belongings and took them to San Francisco with him. One of the things that his father left behind was a coin collection. At first, Lawrence actually forgot about the collection, and then a month after the move he found it again, and decided to take it to a coin expert. 1. The Declaration of Independence To be clear, a person didn't find the original Declaration of Independence, that's safely locked away in Washington D.C., however, there were copies of the original made back in 1776, and one person found one of them in a very roundabout way.

9 Amazing Artifacts That Were Accidentally Unearthed
Archeologists are still finding mysterious ancient artifacts people dug out from various locations like caves, under the sea or in passageways. Subscribe to World5List http://goo.gl/cpJSA6 Find us on... -- http://www.boredbadger.com -- http://www.facebook.com/world5list Artifacts that were accidentally unearthed The world is full of buried treasures… some that are searched for and some you just sort of… stumble upon. Coming up… ancient cities, stone armies, breaking the language barrier, and more. Join us as we take a look at some of the strangest artifacts that were accidentally unearthed! Lascaux Cave The Lascaux cave discovery reads just a little bit like the start of a horror movie… but it doesn’t turn out that grisly. Terra Cotta When you’re doing a manual labor job, like digging a ditch, it can really be a burden to have to move a big rock, or a tree root. Venus de milo Some of the most famous people in the world come from relatively unknown roots, and the same can be true of art. Derinkuyu When you’re renovating a home, you’re never sure what you might find. There’s a chance that a rich grandfather hid a Rembrandt, but you’re not likely to find a whole new world. Banwell Some discoveries that seem… well, pretty interesting at first, can end up being world-class finds. The Banwell Caves in Somerset, England, were first discovered in the mid seventeen hundreds. Rosetta Stone Sometimes even doomed projects can have unexpected and positive results. When Napoleon Bonaparte attempted to take Egypt in the late seventeen hundreds and… well, failed, he brought along a group of scientists, historians, and language experts who were there to collect relics and study up on the country’s history. Dead Sea If you stumble on a relic as a teenager, you might be inclined to get rid of it for some fast cash. This may or may not end up being worth it, though. A group of Arab teenagers were tending livestock in 1947 near the ancient city of Jericho. Uluburun Anytime you go diving, there’s a chance you’ll discover something ancient or awesome. Even if you don’t it’ll probably be a fun time, but that’s not the point. Richard III So much of archaeology focuses on accidental discoveries, and it really makes you think about what else is out there.

11 Bizarre Nightmare Animals
The Creatures in this list look and act so bizarre that they could be straight from your worst nightmare. You might not believe that these creatures and animals actually exist but they really do! Subscribe to World5List http://goo.gl/cpJSA6 Find us on... -- http://www.boredbadger.com -- http://www.facebook.com/world5list Most of us have affection for cute pets, and baby animals. A tiny sloth yawning, or a kitten nuzzling a puppy just makes you smile. Well, sometimes nature makes animals you wouldn’t want to see in a dark alley. Coming up… Monstrous fish, Stinging ants, underwater goblins, and more! Join us as we explore some Nightmare Animals! Giant Isopod We head to the bottom of the Pacific Ocean for our first nightmare creature. The giant isopod looks like something out of Aliens and is an armored sea critter that can grow up to twenty inches in length. Coconut Crab You’d think with a name like the “Coconut Crab” the animal itself would be a little cuter. Well… It’s named that way because it can crush coconuts in its incredible pincers. They can grow up to three feet long and weigh up to nine pounds. Anglerfish This next addition is a fish with a bright idea, but a horrific face. The Anglerfish is an expert hunter that uses a bioluminescent growth atop its head to lure smaller fish into its terrifying jaws. They live in the darkness of the deep sea, but when seen in the light these beasts are straight out of a nightmare. Japanese Giant Hornet We travel to Japan for our next entry, for a monster that does real ecological work… as well as being truly terrifying. The Japanese Giant Hornet is the world’s largest, growing to two inches long with a wingspan a shade longer. Sea Pigs Our next nightmare creature lives at the bottom of one of the deepest parts of the sea, the aptly named “Abyssal Plain”. The sea pig looks somewhere between gross and terrifying, but is just a relative of the sea cucumber and starfish. Goblin Shark We head to the deep sea of the three major oceans for our next monstrosity, and this one is almost mythical in its hideousness. The Goblin Shark is nature at its weirdest, displaying its pink skin and living in the very depths of the sea. Bullet Ant The next creature straight out of your nightmare inhabits the floor of South American rainforests and is known by many terrifying and descriptive names. The Bullet ant can grow to over and inch long and holds the record for the most painful sting in the insect world. Puss Caterpillar Sometimes the nightmare creatures you fear live right in your backyard. This might be the case if you live in the Southern United States, between Carolina and Florida. The Puss caterpillar looks a lot like a Persian cat, and seems like it would be really soft and fuzzy… for a caterpillar. But even if you were tempted to pet it… don’t. Giant Stingray Our next contender in the nightmare creature feature is found in freshwater lakes and rivers in Indochina and Borneo. The giant stingray is exactly what it sounds like. This creature lives on the bottom of rivers and lakes and can tip fishing boats with its immense weight. Indian Taipan What nightmare creature list would be complete without a trip to Australia, the country with the possibly the most dangerous wildlife in the world. The Indian Taipan is a creature that will strike you with fear if you see it, and it lives in the semi-arid deserts of central Australia. Ophiocordyceps unilateralis Sometimes creatures look scary, but are harmless. Sometimes these terrifying animals can cause severe pain to humans, but this next entry is the base for some horror movies and intense natural study. The Ophiocordyceps fungus can be found in tropical rainforests and is known by many as the zombie fungus.

7 Most Guarded Places On Earth
People are intrigued by mysteries and places with maximum security. Join us as we explore some of the most guarded places on earth. Subscribe to World5List http://goo.gl/cpJSA6 Find us on... -- http://www.boredbadger.com -- http://www.facebook.com/world5list There’s nothing curious people love more than mysteries and places with maximum security. And over the past few years, skeptics have managed to question what’s behind close doors of almost any government protected building that ever existed. And with questions came theories. So join us as we explore some of the most guarded places on Earth! First on our list are the Vatican Secret Archives When it comes to privacy, the Vatican sure knows how to keep things a secret. These archives were founded in 1612 and the word on the street is they were completely closed to the public until 1881. Accredited catholic scholars were then allowed to have a sneak peek - of course with heavy restrictions. The next on our list is Fort Knox. Much like the Vatican Archives, Fort Knox also holds some of the most important historical documents along with a whooping 147.3 million of ounces of gold. It’s worth about 270 billion dollars and you bet your sweet bippy many people would love to get their hands on just an ounce of these bars. You wanna know what’s even more secured than Fort Knox? The Federal Reserve Bank in New York. Makes it hard to believe when it’s located in one of the most buzzing cities in the world, right? Turns out, it’s true. Alright, what’s next? Ever heard of the Iron Mountain. Nope, it’s not a title of a movie. It’s a storage facility in Boston, Massachusetts, holding records of management, information destruction, and data backup, with recovery services supplied to more than 150,000 customers - 95% of the owners are confidential. Alright, enough of this vault talk. Let’s get down to interesting and unexplainable mysteries. Area 51 is a favorite topic for any person who just can’t stop talking about aliens. The location is quite unusual and accessible enough to attract plenty of curious onlookers. But it’s not that easy. Located in the south of Nevada, Area 51 has been a mystery ever since people started noticing unusual activities around this so called military installation. Things are getting a bit more interesting aren’t they? Next we have the Korean Demilitarized Zone, which is just a strip of land, but it’s probably one of the most protected strip of land we’ve ever heard of. The last on our list is no other than Air Force One, probably one of the most secure aircrafts in the world We’re sure you’ve heard of Air Force One before - the plane that carries the president of United States. For that reason alone, you can bet that the plane and the entire landing area are surrounded by maximum security - so no, you probably won’t be able to stand near Air Force One anytime soon.So don’t get your hopes up of ever catching a sight of Air Force One - you’ll have more luck spotting an alien at Area 51.

10 Most Mysterious Abandoned Ships
Sometimes ships sink because of various reasons but these mysterious abandoned ships disappear without an explanation. Subscribe to World5List http://goo.gl/cpJSA6 Find us on... -- http://www.boredbadger.com -- http://www.facebook.com/world5list Most Mysterious Abandoned ships The ocean is a very large and fairly unknown part of our planet, and odd tales come from sailors about crewless boats. Coming upDisappearing crews, ghost ships, and more. Join us as we explore the most mysterious abandoned ships! World Discoverer When you set out to explore a place shrouded in myth and legend, the journey might not treat your boat so well. The aptly named World Discoverer was a giant cruise ship that first left port in 1974, and was the first ship ever to cross the Northwest Passage successfully, doing what the fabled Titanic could not. High Aim Six When a ship washes up on shore with a full cache of supplies but no crew, it’s probably going to get people talking. The High Aim Six was found eighty miles from the Rowley Shoals, near Australia, floating adrift, full of food, water, and gas… but with no one on board. Teignmouth Electron Traveling around the entire world by boat is an… ambitious goal, and doing it solo might well be described as crazy. This didn’t stop the Golden Globe Race, a British sailing competition with that goal in mind. Mary Celeste When it comes to mysteries, sometimes it’s best to trust the classics. The Mary Celeste is probably the world’s most famous abandoned ship, and its strangeness has lasted the test of time. It was found adrift in the Atlantic in 1872, and all that was missing was a lifeboat. Jian Seng It doesn’t have to be an old-timey two masted ship to be considered spooky and well, haunted. The Jian Seng was just your run of the mill oil tanker found abandoned off the coast of Australia in 2006. T.T. Zion If you want to own a personal yacht, the odds are pretty good that you’ll have to be, well, rich. But wealth doesn’t mean you won’t end up as an integral part of a mystery. The American Star Sometimes the wreck of the ship can be as magnificent as the seaworthy version. The SS America Star was built in 1940 as a beautiful, gigantic ocean liner. This ship carried several names in her lengthy career of fifty four years. SS Valencia If your ship decides to kick the bucket in it’s pretty likely it’ll end up as a mystery. The SS Valencia was an iron-hulled steamer built in 1882. Kaz II When it comes to misadventures, sometimes what happens at sea, stays at sea. The Kaz II was catamaran crewed by three men on a pleasure voyage. When it was discovered near the Great Barrier Reef, alas, there was no one aboard. Ourang Medan If the mystery is too terrifying, the best answer might be just to let it, well, blow up and sink. The Ourang Medan was a Dutch merchant ship that was floating through the Strait of Malacca in June of 1947. This wraps up our list of the most mysterious abandoned ships. What haunting sea story did you like most? What eerie shipwrecks did we miss? Let us know in the comments below.

The World’s 8 Best Kept Secrets
Various formulas, algorithms, recipes, ingredients…are secure guarded from us so companies, states, labs and other important information is hidden from us and can not me revealed. Subscribe to World5List http://goo.gl/cpJSA6 Find us on... -- http://www.boredbadger.com -- http://www.facebook.com/world5list World's best kept secrets The quest for knowledge has pushed humankind to reach for the stars and uncover all sorts of mysteries, but there are some secrets we really aren’t meant to know. Oscars Award shows wouldn’t be all that entertaining if the results were known beforehand, and the bigger the award, the bigger the surprise. KFC When two customers stopped in at a gas station restaurant in North Corbin, Kentucky, the 1930s, they didn’t realize just how unlikely it was that they’d figure out how their chicken meal was seasoned. A secret list passed down to powerful company positions is also the strategy for maintaining the formula for Coca Cola. Much like KFC, the ingredient list and proportions for the stunning tonic is held only by the two CEOs at Coke. Google How many times have you Googled something, and actually gone to the second page of the results? Chartreuse While the recipes above have been kept secret for decades, there are other, more… “meaningful” recipes that have been hidden away for centuries. Chartreuse is a French liqueur first made by the monks of the Grande Chartreuse Monastery in 1737. Hapsburg Napkin Fold Some of these secrets are valuable to company profits, or secret ingredients kept hidden for centuries. Other classified information is a bit… well, less crucial. The Hapsburg Napkin Fold is essentially the fanciest way any human being can fold a single napkin. Cromwell When you work hard as a revolutionary, you can’t count on people respecting you after you leave the world of the living. Oliver Cromwell was an Englishman from the sixteen hundreds who ended a long line of monarchs, before taking over the country. Camp Century In war, it’s important to have a fallback, and perhaps more importantly, it’s essential that your enemy doesn’t know about it. Camp Century was plan B for the United States during the Cold War with the Soviet Union.

7 Creepy Places You NEVER Want To Visit
Our world is home to some really dangerous places where tourists should not go and visit because not every destination is a tourist paradise. Subscribe to World5List http://goo.gl/cpJSA6 Find us on... -- http://www.boredbadger.com -- http://www.facebook.com/world5list Places You Never Want to Visit As Melisandre of Game of Thrones once said: "The night is dark and full of terrors", but as you watch this video we'll change that phrase to the world is dark and full of terrors. Sit back, relax and promise to never venture to any of these places you never want to visit because you might get more than you bargained for. North Sentinel Island: India The Northern Sentinel Island has remained almost completely remote from the outside world where it's believe the tribes of the Andaman Islands—the Jarawa, Great Andamanese, Onge and Sentinelese have lived for almost 55,000 years. The Great Pacific Garbage Patch You know that saying speak no evil, hear no evil and see no evil—well, that's not necessarily the case with the massive amount of trash that ends up in the ocean landing in what we now refer to as The Great Pacific Garbage Patch. It's likely that if you ever end up anywhere near this trash pile you may be shocked to discover that humans created a disgusting wasteland of filth in the middle of the ocean. Edinburgh Vaults: Scotland Edinburgh is a city rich in both history and superstition—which is why it was no wonder that when the newly completed South Bridge began to experience flooding in the chambers people believed it to be cursed, refusing to even use the bridge. Snake Island: Brazil Unless you're interested in the study of Ophiology, a branch of herpetology that specializes in the study of snakes and ophidians you probably never want to step foot on Snake Island. As the name suggests is full of deadly, venomous snakes and off-limits to humans—it was rumored that there are between one and five snakes for every meter. Overtoun Bridge: Milton, Scotland If you like your furry four-legged friend you probably want to steer clear of the Overtoun Bridge in the village of Milton, Scotland. This strange bridge hasn't caused humans to jump to their deaths but it's caused hundreds of man's best friend to leap off of it. It's become such a nuisance in fact that there is now a sign that reads: "Dangerous bridge—keep your dog on a lead." At least 50 dogs in the past 50 years have jumped from the bridge—strangely enough both jumping and landing in almost the same spot, always jumping off the same side of the bridge. Surtsey, Iceland Sursey Island off of the coast of Iceland was formed after a volcanic eruption took place from 1963 to 1967—and then a smaller island was also formed nearby just a few months but was washed away by wave erosion. Wave erosion still diminishes the larger island, but it won't entirely cause the island to disappear—if you're curious and want to visit the island though it's probably not recommended since you never know when the next eruption might take place.

Not only did it help get man into space, and up to the moon, but it was a political event that was meant to show whether the United States or the USSR was better equipped to progress the future of humanity. 8. The Geese Who Saved Rome The Roman Empire was a mighty force in history, but during one of its lowest moments, surprisingly a bunch of geese saved them from ruin. If you can believe it. In the fourth century B.C., the Roman Empire had been suffering a series of defeats at the hands of the Gauls. The Gauls were fierce warriors, and though they had smaller numbers, they had more experience than many of the Roman armies, and thus they had the upper hand. 7. Dolly The Sheep Dolly the sheep is the first officially cloned animal in the history of the world to have reached adulthood. This proved that not only that cloning could be done, but that the "subject" could survive long after the process was complete. 6. The Chimps That The King even after the Treaty of Versailles was signed, more battles came. This including in 1919 when Greece as a nation went after Turkish soil and occupied it in their name. Then, they went and had many successful campaigns in the area that would lead to even more land gotten by Greece. 5. Snowball and Her DNA The use of DNA to solve crimes was a major breakthrough for law enforcement and the justice system. However, at one time, it was very limited in not only what could be done, but who could be tested. And one thing that no one wanted to do was be the first to try and use pet DNA to help solve a crime. 4. Cher Ami During World War I, communications on the battlefield were very hard to deliver by person, so the various armies of the world employed carrier pigeons and had them deliver messages via small canisters to people who needed to read them. One of the most famous carrier pigeons of all time is a bird called Cher Ami, which is French for "Dear Friend". 2. Balto The legend of Balto is one that has been exaggerated a little because of the beloved animated film made in his honor, but the truth is the beginning and ending of that film is real. Balto was a dog who saved an entire town from disease by making sure that he, his sled team, and their human musher got the medicine needed to cure the town of Diphtheria. 1. Bumblebees Not a singular animal, but rather, a whole species, Bumblebees are vital to the survival of the Earth as a whole. While they may seem like annoyances to humans, bumblebees are actually the ones who help ensure that most plant life on Earth lives on. This is because bumblebees are pollinators, and are in fact the most diverse pollinators in the world.

Alaska Bigfoot is not an Alaskan legend. However, there are those who admit that if there are two places in North America that he/she/it could hide without much worry of being found by the locals in the area, it's either Canada or Alaska. Over the course of many years, just as many people have "seen" Bigfoot within the state of Alaska. 7. Salmon River, Idaho This particular story was actually told to a believer of the unknown himself, Teddy Roosevelt. It was a tale of a man named Bauman, who was a woodsman living out in Idaho. He and a companion went to the Salmon River in search of food. It was their belief that they would find a surplus in a certain area if they looked hard enough. But at the beginning of their journey, they didn't have much luck. 6. The Otay Mountains The border between California and Mexico is blocked mostly by the Otay Mountains, and many know that the areas that these mountains cover is quite treacherous, not the least of which is because it seems that Bigfoot might reside in these areas. Along with a lot of other paranormal and "unexplained" phenomena. 5. Everglades, Florida The Bigfoot legend isn't just rooted in one "all-encompassing" creature, there are actually some spinoffs of the Sasquatch, and one often told legend is that of the Skunk-Ape. A Sasquatch that apparently lives in the Everglades of Florida. The biggest difference between a regular Sasquatch and a Skunk-Ape is quite clear...the smell. 4. Fouke, Arkansas There is a legend in Fouke, Arkansas of a creature called the Boggy Creek Monsters, or the Fouke Monster, and the legend is so prevalent in culture of the United States that it actually spawned two different drive-in movies (The Legend of Boggy Creek and Boggy Creek II). 3. Mt. St. Helens, Washington Mt. St. Helens is a well-known tourist attraction, but according to many stories, it's also one that has brought forth many Bigfoot sightings, and not all in the way you might expect. One such story came from 1981. The mountain volcano erupted, and when it did, several bodies were airlifted away from the site. But those who got a glimpse of this noticed that the bodies weren't human. They were much bigger, and much hairier. 2. Honobia, Oklahoma A more recent tale of a Sasquatch/Bigfoot sighting came from Honobia Oklahoma, where a family was apparently under siege by a group of Bigfoot. This started out when the head of the family Tim, along with his brother mike, went out into their 30-acre field of land and started planting snow beans. This in turn lured in a lot of deer, which were shot by the two in order to protect their field. 1. Bluff Creek, California Perhaps the most famous video of "Bigfoot" was taken back on October 25th, 1967 by Roger Patterson and Bob Gimlin. However, the men didn't intend to make a legendary video that day, they were traveling by horseback in California, and heading to a tributary of the Klamath River. After riding 25 miles they went and rounded a place called Bluff Creek...and there Bigfoot was.

Mystery Structure Google Earth has been a great way for people around the world to view all kinds of things, but an unexpected side effect of this was people looking at the map and finding things they didn't know were there. When one man went to examine Antarctica, he found a blurred out section of a map that was so large that he felt it couldn't be anything other than a massive building. 7. Blood Falls Don't worry, it's not actually a waterfall made of blood, but a waterfall coming out of a glacier in Antarctica that flows red, giving it its infamous nickname. The glacier in question is the Taylor Glacier, and the reason for its red coloring is pretty simple in context. 6. Mystery Dome Antarctica is a very interesting place in regards to the fact that there is no population living there annually in large numbers. There are research outposts and facilities, but they're not inhabited year round, more times than not because of the extreme temperatures. And yet, satellite imagery has found a mysterious dome that seems to have been handmade, and it's not in any of the areas that humans have been known to be in within Antarctica. 5. Invertebrates in the Ice and Snow When you think about life in Antarctica, you either think of Penguins, or the creatures that live in the waters around Antarctica, such as squids. But interestingly, if you were to go into the snows of the continent and look around, and look closely, you'll find a whole host of Invertebrates lurking around. 67 different species to be precise (that we know of). 4. Antarctic Lakes Water in Antarctica is a curious thing, because technically it's all around you when you're there because of the snow, but in terms of actually bodies of water, that was thought to be impossible. Then a man named Jonathan Kingslake came along and changed everything. 3. The Kraken? One of the all-time great sea legends is that there's a monster squid living in the ocean called the Kraken. And near Antarctica, we know that massive squids reside in the waters, but a picture from Google Earth seemed to indicate that the legendary Kraken was not only alive, it lived in the waters near the frozen continent. 2. Gamburtsev Subglacial Mountains I want you to picture a mountain range, now, I want you to picture that mountain range being buried to the tips and beyond in snow and ice. That's exactly what's going with the Gamburtsev Subglacial Mountains in Antarctica. This is a mountain range that is apparently very old, hundreds of millions of years old, and some even say billions, and yet, they're buried in snow and ice on the continent. 1. 71 Million-Year-Old Fossils An expedition to James Ross Island, which on the Antarctic Peninsula, in 2016 lead to a massive discovery of fossils. ANCIENT ROMAN LETTERS, ENGLAND Midway through 2017, a thrilled group of archaeologists revealed the discovery of 25 tablets on the northern frontier of the Roman Empire. The wooden ink tablets, which are suspected to contain fascinating details about people’s everyday lives, were found just south of Hadrian’s Wall in northern England, at the Roman fort of Vindolanda Estimates by archaeologists date the documents sometime between 85 and 92 A.D. 8. IRON AGE BATTLEFIELD; ALKEN ENGE , DENMARK The discovery of human remains was announced earlier this year by archaeologists working in the sprawling wetland of Alken Enge, on the shore of Lake Mosso on Denmark’s Jutland Peninsula. Altogether, the remains consist of 2,095 bones and bone fragments, belonging to at least 82 people. The bones are scattered across an area roughly 185 acres in size. 7. ORIGINS OF THE BASQUE PEOPLE For decades, anthropologists have been puzzled by the distinct language and genetic makeup of the Basque people of northern Spain and southern France. Nestled in a mountainous corner of Atlantic Europe, the Basques have unique customs and speak a language called Euskera, which is unlike any other spoken throughout the world. They are also genetically distinct from their French and Spanish neighbors. 6. MEGA STONEHENGE Just one mile from the world-famous site of Stonehenge in Wiltshire, England lies an enormous row of 90 megalithic stones, which scientists speculate may have been everything from a solar temple to a burial ground. Discovered through the use of sophisticated radar equipment, the huge line of megalithic stones lines lies three feet underground. 5. THE ORIGINS OF EUROPE’S “LOST PEOPLE” The Picts, dubbed the “Picti” or “painted people” by the Romans, were a confederation of tribes in northern Scotland. To this day, much of their culture remains shrouded in mystery - even the Smithsonian has described them as “Europe’s lost people.” 4. ROMAN ‘TREASURE TROVE,’ SCOTLAND In 2014, one lucky Scottish teen with a metal detector hit paydirt: a stunning hoard of ancient silver, believed to have been used by ancient Romans as bribes. The lucky youth, a then-14-year-old named David Hall, discovered the silver fragments in Dairsie, in the Scottish region of Fife. The trove went on show for the first time in October 2017, at the National Museum of Scotland in Edinburgh. 1. BRONZE AGE CEMETERY, WALES 2017 was, indeed, an eventful year for the announcement of archaeological discoveries in the U.K. In June of that year, a Bronze Age cemetery was discovered by archaeologists on the Welsh island of Anglesey. The cemetery is believed to be from around 3,200 years ago, sometime between the Late Neolithic and Early Bronze Ages.

Most Shocking Moments Caught At The Zoo
Subscribe to World5List: http://goo.gl/cpJSA6 Check out our "10 People who Fell into Animal Enclosures at Zoos" video at: https://youtu.be/Wkvs6fdTQH4 Check out our "8 Pet Animals That Ate Their Owners" video at: https://youtu.be/q27V7_PzYxU 10) Tatiana The Tiger Tigers are one of the most powerful animals on land. They are some of the fastest of the big cats in their species, and can weigh up to a shocking six hundred pounds. Some tigers in the wild have been known to kill hundreds of herbivores in their lifetime, for the sake of themselves or for that of their families. 9) A Home Zoo Gone Wrong Zoos are entertaining, but they are hard to upkeep, and it requires a large staff to clean, feed, and care for all of the animals at a zoo. It is also important that these creatures do not escape and wreak havoc anywhere except their cages. So who in the world would want to have a zoo in their house? 8) Climbing Into The Lion’s Den Drugs are almost never a good idea, and when you are on drugs (especially meth) you may do some things that you would have otherwise not have done, like jumping into a lions’ den. That sounds crazy, right? No one would do that, as that’s a one way ticket to the grave. Well that unfortunate event happened in Taiwan to one unlucky man. 7) Tilikum, The Literal Killer Whale Whales are large, but majestic creatures, however, they are terrifying up close, as their size is to be in awe of. Some whales can reach multiple tons in weight, which is no small feat, as most cars don’t equal even two tons in weight. Tilikum, nicknamed Tilly, was a huge, 12,000 pound orca whale who was captured in Iceland in 1983. 6) Who Let The Chimps Out? Chimpanzees can look cute and cuddly and you may even want one as a pet...However, some chimpanzees can be absolutely brutal to their own species, and after this incident, apparently other humans, even their caretakers. A chimpanzee escaped its captivity in Sendai, Japan in the spring of 2016. 5) Binky The Polar Bear Polar bears are very dangerous, enough said. A 29-year-old woman from Australia had her thigh thoroughly engulfed in the mouth of a nearly 1,000 pound polar bear named Binky at the Berlin Zoo. The woman foolishly trespassed to try and get a better shot of the animal. She ended up getting practically eaten by the large bear. 4) A Drunk Man’s Mistake This intoxicated man had the unfortunate experience of falling into a grizzly bear’s captivity area at a zoo in Switzerland. The bear immediately began to dig into the victim, biting, ripping, and tearing at his limbs. Concerned onlookers screamed for help from zoo officials above. People also tried to throw food and objects at the bear to distract it, but it was clearly very interested in the human who had trespassed into his territory. 3) When Rhinos Escape Three female rhinoceroses managed to escape their enclosure at a safari zoo in Israel. The security guard apparently fell asleep and could be seen chasing the three rhinos as they ran out of a side gate that had been kept open for visitors. Although, if he had caught up to them there was not much he would have been able to do to round up the giant animals on his own. 2) Please Don’t Swim With The Monkeys A man in Brazil decided to get drunk and go to the zoo in Sao Paolo at the Sorocaba Zoo. While inebriated, he took off his shirt and trespassed into the spider monkey’s enclosure. He jumped into the water, attempting to swim with the spider monkeys but was attacked instead. 1) Polar Bear Bait This enthusiastic zoo-goer could not wait to get her eyes on the polar bears at the Berlin Zoo. She wound up getting much closer to the bears than she had ever planned. She hopped into the polar bear enclosure during feeding time, which isnt exactly the smartest thing to do.. later reports would confirm that she was suffering from depression due to not being able to find a job
