Kite Surfing in Mui Ne Vietnam Is the Best Beach Ever in Asia

02:46
During peak season, you'll see a flurry of activity along Mui Ne's entire shoreline; on average it has 227 days a year with winds of more than 12 knots. Not surprising, there's a stack of schools that offer lessons to beginners. The best time to head to Mui Ne for wind- and kite-surfing is October to the end of March. Peak time is December and January. Winds are not as strong outside these months and while schools endeavour to find an area of coast and time of day with ideal conditions, the monsoon does make for inconsistent wind and waves. The Best Beaches in Vietnam

09:33
But Vietnam is eminently a beach destination and has some of the least crowded and most unique beaches in Southeast Asia. The beaches in Vietnam have the added benefit of not being as crowded as in other parts of Southeast Asia, precisely because the country is not as easily identified with the sea. Like Thailand or Malaysia, the best beaches in Vietnam are a mix between mainland destinations that are easy to reach, like Da Nang, more remote beaches that tend to be still under the radar like Nha Trang, and up-and-coming islands like Phu Quoc, where some of Vietnam’s latest luxury resorts are. So let’s take a look at the best beaches in Vietnam to get you going. The Vietnam War which was commonly known by the Vietnamese as the “American War” The fighting was still raging up until the last day of April 30th 1975, when Saigon fell. I had been born in the rural area South of Saigon in the Vinh Long Province. No one really knew our real birth dates of Vietnamese Adoptees. So we were all given made up birth certificates depending on how old we looked. But all Vietnamese Orphans were given a name of some sort to be included in our paper work in which we had to have for the safe travel out of Vietnam before the fall of Saigon. Adopted in Australia then later moving to New Zealand and growing up as a typical Kiwi. Its been Over 25 years coming back and forth to Vietnam every year visiting throughout Vietnam as an ex-pat “Tourist”. In August 2017 I returned again. But this time without a return ticket…. Fansipan Mountain - Sapa Is Awesome

Sa Pa is a town in the Hoàng Liên Son Mountains of northwestern Vietnam. A popular trekking base, it overlooks the terraced rice fields of the Muong Hoa Valley, and is near the 3,143m-tall Phang Xi Pang peak, which is climbable via a steep, multiday guided walk. Hill tribes, such as the Hmong, Tay and Dao, make up much of the town's local population. Fansipan Mountain is located in the southwest of Sapa town, Sa Pa district, Lao Cai province. With a length of 280 km from Phong Tho to Hoa Binh and the foothill's horizontal width of about 75km in the widest, it consists of 3 massifs: Bach Moc Luong Tu, Fansipan and Pu Luong. Whole massive roof is exciting attraction in Sapa for tourists, which hides much strange impression. Yet the most exotic and mysterious one is Fansipan Mountain. Cai Rang Floating Market Is in Can Tho Province. It Is so Much Fun

03:36
Can Tho (or Cantho; Vietnamese: Cần Thơ) is the biggest city of the Mekong Delta, in Vietnam with an estimated population of 1,5 million as of 2012. The name comes from "cầm thi giang" - river of poems. It is also referred to as "Tay Do" meaning "Western capital". The city is famous for its floating markets, Buddhist pagodas, delicious food and fresh fruits and the beauty of the Mekong delta. The floating markets are a very lively scene, accommodating much of the goods exchange throughout the area. And, the canal system around Can Tho is a fascinating travel network, much more relaxing than the bustling roads. Longer tours on a private boat to the floating markets usually include traveling through the canals as well. Make sure the boat you book is a small boat that can take you through the small canals that the larger tour boats cannot navigate. Dalat Night Market - Da Lat Nightlife

Da Lat Night Market offers what seems like an endless number of food stalls, which spill into the streets around Nguyen Thi Minh Khai. Offering many local favourites at affordable prices, some of the most popular ones include traditional rice noodles, banh mi, Vietnamese pizza (grilled rice paper with a variety of topping), and finish it off with fresh soy milk. The market attracts many people during the evening - some for the food, some for the atmosphere, and some to perform or to watch street performers. Hip-hop dancing, roller skating, and jainzi (shuttlecock kicking that’s like badminton with your feet) all happen in the market’s open spaces. Though freshly-cooked food is the focus of the night market, other items, including textiles, traditional clothes, flowers, and fresh produce are all available as well. Cafe Ngot Saigon is a wonderful cafe of nostalgia

00:45
Looking for a cafe to chill in this afternoon? Check out Cafe Ngot. We arrived at Ngot Cafe and were welcomed by a yellow wall that resembles the famous Coi Xay Gio wall in Da Lat. The sky had cleared by then, and the late afternoon light beautifully illuminated the area. Upon entering the cafe, we immediately felt an atmosphere of nostalgia. It seems like the owner really knows how to bring back those good memories of old Saigon. The curtains, posters, menu and even ice tea glasses were purposely decorated to depict the lifestyle of old Saigoneers from more than two decades ago. We glanced through the menu, scouring for something that could combat the summer heat of Saigon. The drink options aren't fancy compared to some cafés, as they focus on serving signature drinks of Saigon, or, more precisely, drinks that Saigoneers craved when they were little kids. I ordered a trà đào (peach tea) while my friend got cà phê sữa đá, nước mơ and đá me. While waiting for the drinks, Thanh and I noticed a bookshelf in the middle of the shop. On each shelf were items no kid of the 80s or 90s grew up without knowing. From the top, we saw bottles of old Chuong Duong sá xị, Tribeco soya milk, con cua snacks, Miu Miu noodles, plastic balloon tubes and even the legendary Tetris Gameboy. It is not easy to find these goods today. The cafe's location among a network of small alleys may make it somewhat hard to find for newcomers. However, try putting aside all daily concerns, sitting on the little wooden chairs outside the café and help yourself to a drink while looking at the alley’s pace of life at dusk, and you will understand why a visit is worthwhile. A Cuppa in Saigon's Oldest Cafe - Cheo Leo Cafe

05:28
Before French filtered coffee made its way into homes and cafes across town, there was cà phê vợt. Known to English speakers as “stocking coffee”, this method was originally the purview of Cho Lon’s coffee vendors and involved a long, stocking-like fabric filter, a charcoal stove and traditional claypots. Vinh Ngo, Co Suong’s father, began selling cà phê vợt at Cheo Leo in 1938. Under the tutelage of Saigon’s Chinese coffee vendors, Ngo mastered the art of this particular brewing method. He learned to collect and water a few days in advance and store it in a large, concealed claypot. When the time came to make a cuppa, Ngo would fire up the charcoal stove and boil water. He filtered his coffee through the stocking twice, pouring it in the first time to release the beans’ flavor before reusing the same water to filter the beverage again. Hot coffee went in a claypot warming on the stove, cold coffee went into a separate claypot away from the coals. Since then, Co Suong and her two sisters, now the proprietors of Cheo Leo, have made their coffee in exactly the same fashion. Even the beans haven’t changed: Co Suong still buys her coffee from the descendants of her father’s old business contacts, and Suong and her sisters, none of whom are married, have carried on the family's coffee-making business. Sao Beach (Starfish beach) this beach is the most beautiful beach in Phu Quoc. Local people usually says that you haven't really visited Phu Quoc if you don't come to Sao Beach. The sand here is white, silky and flat. The water is so clear that you can see starfish at the bottom. Donald Trump Just Landed Here in Hanoi. Trump, Kim in Hanoi for second round of nuclear talks

02:37
Trump, Kim in Hanoi for second round of nuclear talks. After long journeys to Vietnam, U.S. President Donald Trump and North Korean leader Kim Jong Un are in place for their second summit Wednesday to address perhaps the world’s biggest security challenge: Kim’s pursuit of a nuclear program that stands on the verge of viably threatening targets around the planet. Trump arrived late Tuesday in Air Force One after a long flight that included refueling stops in England and Qatar. He waved from the stairs of the presidential plane, then shook hands with dignitaries and walked along a red carpet to his motorcade Kim arrived in Hanoi earlier and spent the day traveling around the Vietnamese capital in his armored limousine, his squad of bodyguards in tow as he visited the North Korean Embassy, with hundreds of visiting journalists and thousands of local citizens following in his wake. He took a train through southern China and then traveled to Hanoi by car from a Vietnamese border town. The two leaders are slated to meet over two days, first at dinner on Wednesday followed by meetings on Thursday. They first met last June in Singapore, a summit that was long on historic pageantry but short in any enforceable agreements for North Korea to give up its nuclear arsenal. Saigon Traffic – How to Cross a Street in Vietnam? You Look Forward and Just Walk

03:10
Traffic moves on the right, although drivers frequently cross to the left to pass or turn, and motorcycles and bicycles often travel against the flow of traffic. Drivers honk their horns constantly, often for no apparent reason. Streets in major cities are choked with motorcycles, cars, buses, trucks, bicycles, pedestrians, and cyclos. Outside the cities, livestock compete with vehicles for road space. Sudden stops by motorcycles and bicycles make driving particularly hazardous. Nationwide, drivers do not follow basic traffic principles, vehicles do not yield right of way, and there is little adherence to traffic laws or enforcement by traffic police.
