10:25
Cost Of Living In Mexico 2018 Ajijic, Lake Chapala, Guadalajara #Mexico-COL2018 Living and Reiterating Average expenses over 3 months For 2 People Food For Home $250 month Food for restaurants $195 month NOTE We eat 75% of our meals at home at 25% at restaurants. Home supplies $35 month Entertainment $100 that includes Netflix, books, streaming videos Doctor appointment $45 month Medication two people $136 month Laboratory blood work $75 month Clothing $83 to people month Gasoline for car $65 month Car insurance $50 month Propane gas for house $80 month Electricity $100 month Miscellaneous $100 items we may not have added in. Maid service $85 month Cell phones $25 month We don't use alcohol no cigarettes we do not drink or smoke anything. These extra expenses. Plus you need to add in your Rent and any other expenses you personally have such as car payments, Storage unit, etc. etc. We have added up one 3 months living expenses in Mexico. We divided up the 3 monthly cost and came up with a monthly average. Some months are lower and some months are higher. How Much Does it Cost to Live in Mexico? The basic cost of living in Mexico is lower than that of the US, Canada and Europe; particularly for items such as fruits, vegetables and other food staples; baked goods, and other miscellaneous grocery items. Local and national public transportation is generally lower in cost than the U.S. and Canada and much lower than in Europe. Competition has been introduced across the domestic Mexican airline market and low-cost airlines are beginning to make a significant difference to domestic air-travel fares on popular routes, which were relatively expensive before real competition was present. Prices for electricity are relatively* high unless your monthly consumption remains below a certain level, in which case government subsidies can help keep your electric costs quite low. Telephone service prices are being transformed in Mexico after legal reforms brought in during 2014 and early 2015 have made calling from landlines less expensive than it has ever been before in Mexico. Piped water to your home is relatively inexpensive, but not always potable (drinkable). As a result, most people purchase bottled water, often in 20 liter containers. A growing range of items, especially some types of clothing, domestic appliances, audio/visual equipment, technology, e.g. Smart Phones computers, computer software, and cameras, are more expensive than identical items sold in the USA. Cars cost slightly more in Mexico than equivalent models in the US. The way Mexico sells gasoline is changing-from a government-controlled price regime to a market-price system. This article explains the changes and how it's affecting prices of gasoline and diesel in Mexico. In November 2017 the gasoline market became fully 'liberalized' and gas stations are now free to set their own prices. The market for natural gas (LPG), used extensively in Mexican homes for cooking and heating water, has also been opened-up and this has caused prices to rise in the short term at least-by as much as 30%. In popular locations, Rents in Mexico can be equal to rents found in equivalent-sized US towns or cities. In less popular (or less well known / off the beaten track) towns and cities, you may find good quality accommodation at far lower rents that you would pay for the equivalent space in the US. Mexico has a centralized economy, that is, most of the country's economic activity revolves around Mexico City and environs. This makes the capital a relatively expensive place to live compared with Mexico's provinces, with the exception of the most-popular provincial beach towns and colonial cities. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Travel with me on YouTube ( https://goo.gl/SCHrdw ) Subscribe Now - It's FREE ____________________________________________________________________ ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Your video will be live at: https://youtu.be/8ZgDKr-Gr2k ___________________________________________________________________ Other YouTube videos you may enjoy Monthly Expense Mexico https://youtu.be/lsjetpemJyI Retire Early in Mexico Lake Chapala Ajijic https://youtu.be/kCGYutO1-Gk Lake Chapala Retirement Community https://youtu.be/rGIG_m38onc Retire interview https://youtu.be/MAlRpkQPMUE Mexico Part One Moving to Mexico https://youtu.be/pM7E1YBjS2E $8,000 Small Home Thailand https://youtu.be/W8NVciXwusc Hawaii Kona Paradise Budget Travel https://youtu.be/oFlodlfXAD0 Living In Ajijic Mexico, Is It Safe? https://youtu.be/n_PlvWdHE3A ------------------------------------

There are two broad choices in terms of choosing where to locate for retirement in Mexico: you can live in a community where many other foreign residents live-around people who could provide support and company- and live in locations or planned residential enclosures that have been designed for "home away from home" living; or you may choose to live in a local Mexican community, which means that services and facilities will be those generally available locally (and in many places are excellent) and you will need to make a greater effort in terms of speaking Spanish and integrating into local community life. Sayulita was "discovered" by roving surfers in the late 1960s with the construction of Mexican Highway 200. Today, Sayulita is a prosperous growing village of approximately 6,000 residents. Hailed as a popular off-the-beaten-path travel destination, San Pancho Culture San Pancho, as the village of San Francisco, Mexico is affectionately known, has preserved its rural essence and the authenticity of a picturesque Mexican town. Here one can still enjoy the serenity and the principles of old Mexico; where people take the time to chat rather than rushing to do business. Just an hour's drive north of Puerto Vallarta airport but a world apart, San Pancho sits peacefully upon a wide palm-fringed golden beach wrapped in a lush cloak of verdant jungle. Quiet cobblestone streets provide visitors and residents a safe haven in which to wander and discover the town, with delightful restaurants close at hand to enjoy delicious refreshment. -------------------------------------- Mexico: What does it cost to rent a house in Lake Chapala Mexico? http://youtu.be/bjbSruqJtnU Mexico my favorite artist Village http://youtu.be/JfaTZxYk11c Retirement and how to choose a retirement lifestyle http://youtu.be/3PRbYU96i1w Mexico Vacation Travel Guide http://youtu.be/AhCEdxASaz8 Mexico Travel: Is It Safe To Travel in Mexico? https://youtu.be/n_PlvWdHE3A Day of the deadMexico Jerry Brown travels http://youtu.be/hoQOsAH_nx8 Mexico Guadalajara travel Guide https://youtu.be/2S_dNCXmBHg Retire early how much money do I need http://youtu.be/CGNw9dcorZ8 AJIJIC Mexico outdoor open market https://youtu.be/BgmvHkktgZM ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Keep doing what you do is appreciated by all.
