In the latest How-To, Matty Matheson shows us how to make a Garfield-approved, guaranteed-to-get-you-laid beef lasagna. This recipe is so good, Matty thinks it should be adapted as the standard lasagna recipe for Italians worldwide. (Shots fired!) Don’t waste your time with goopy tomato sauce—instead, focus on making the perfect meat sludge to layer between the noodles and massive amounts of mozzarella cheese. On this episode of FUEL, we try to keep up with jiu-jitsu and MMA fighter, Kron Gracie. Meat free for more than a year, Gracie’s diet is anything but typical for a fighter. Follow along as Kron fuels himself through the brutal days of training that have made him so dominant on the mat. Born in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, into the legendary Gracie family, fighting came second nature to Kron. He followed in his father’s and grandfather’s footsteps, advancing through the ranks of jiu-jitsu before his MMA debut in 2014. Known for keeping his cool under pressure, Kron earned his nickname “Ice Cream Kron,” but you’d be hard pressed to find this fighter snacking on ice cream these days. He relies on light, natural snacks and lots of liquids to power himself through daily mini-triathlons, followed by hours of leading his students through jiu-jitsu training – all before eating his first solid meal of the day. In the latest How-To, Matty Matheson shows us how to make the perfect rib-eye steak and Power baked potatoes. The first thing you gotta do is turn those ordinary boring potatoes into Power Potatoes. Do you know how to do that? I don't think so, that's why you're about to watch this video.. Once the potatoes are in the oven you can start on the filling, this is what makes them Power Potatoes.. Start by making Lardon, you probably don't know what that is, that's ok! Once the potatoes are cooked, hollow out the inside, add that to the Lardon with all the other good stuff listed in the recipe. Make sure you keep the skins intact, guys!! Fill the skins with the mixed filling and put them back into the oven and move onto the steaks. Make sure your rib-eye steaks are at room temperature - this is very important. Lightly salt the steaks and sear all sides. Add some butter to the pan and get into that meditative basting zone. Once you reach your desired temperature pull the steaks out of the pan and rest for 10 minutes before serving. You are getting really good at this... just follow along and try not to fuck it up!
