Pink Floyd, Wish You Were Here (1975) So, so you think you can tell Heaven from Hell, Blue skys from pain. Can you tell a green field From a cold steel rail? A smile from a veil? Do you think you can tell? And did they get you to trade Your heros for ghosts? Hot ashes for trees? Hot air for a cool breeze? Cold comfort for change? And did you exchange A walk on part in the war For a lead role in a cage? How I wish, how I wish you were here. We're just two lost souls Swimming in a fish bowl, Year after year, Running over the same old ground. What have we found? The same old fears. Wish you were here.

Somewhere downtown where a burlesque queen may even ask my name As she sheds her skin on stage I'm seated and sweating to a dance song on the club's P.A. The strip joint veteran sits two away Smirking between dignified sips of his dignified peach and lime daiquiri And isn't this exactly where you'd like me I'm exactly where you'd like me, you know Praying for love in a lap dance and paying in naivety Oh, isn't this exactly where you'd like me I'm exactly where you'd like me, you know Praying for love in a lap dance and paying in naivety But, but I'm afraid that I Well, I may have faked it And I wouldn't be caught dead in this place Well, I'm afraid that I Well, that's right, well I may have faked it And I wouldn't be caught dead in this place And isn't this exactly where you'd like me I'm exactly where you'd like me, you know Praying for love in a lap dance and paying in naivety Oh, isn't this exactly where you'd like me I'm exactly where you'd like me, you know Praying for love in a lap dance and paying in naivety Well, I'm afraid that I Well, I may have faked it And I wouldn't be caught dead in this place Well, I'm afraid that I Well, that's right, well I may have faked it And I wouldn't be caught dead in this place And isn't this exactly where you'd like me I'm exactly where you'd like me, you know Praying for love in a lap dance and paying in naivety Oh, isn't this exactly where you'd like me I'm exactly where you'd like me, you know Praying for love in a lap dance and paying in naivety Praying for love and paying in naivety Praying for love and paying in naivety, oh

Ultra-rare promotional video for Sting's cover of "Gabriel's Message," featured on the first "A Very Special Christmas" album, released in 1987 as a benefit for the Special Olympics. The song itself is based on a 13th-Century Basque carol, translated in the 1800s. (NOTE - 12 Dec 2013: I am aware that this is available on the "Very Special Christmas" DVD (2007). I in fact have a copy of same. However, when I first uploaded this in 2006, it was not really available anywhere, except on promotional VHS formats. Thus "ultra-rare," because it was at the time.) Lyrics: The Angel Gabriel from Heaven came His wings as drifted snow His eyes as flame "All Hail!" said he, "thou lowly maiden Mary," "Most Highly Favoured Lady," Gloria! "For known a Blessed Mother thou shalt be, All generations laud and honour thee Thy Son shall be Immanuel, by seers foretold Most highly favoured Lady," Gloria! Then gentle Mary meekly bowed her head; "To me, be as it pleaseth God," she said. "My soul shall laud and magnify His holy Name" Most highly favoured Lady! Gloria! Of her Immanuel, the Christ was born, In Bethlehem, all on a Christmas morn. And everyone throughout the world will ever say, "Most highly favoured Lady!" Gloria!
