Canon Lenses for Sports/Wildlife Photography
Great images start with great lenses and in many ways a Digital SLR is defined by the quality, breadth and scope of its system of lenses. Canon EOS digital SLRs are backed up by the world's most comprehensive system of interchangeable lenses. Canon have more than 70 types of EF lenses, covering all possible shooting requirements and providing unlimited scope for creativity. Choose the style of photography that suits your style and we'll recommend the lenses and accessories that helps you best tell your imaging story. For sports and wildlife photography, two factors are paramount: reach and speed. A lens that gets up close yet allows you to keep your distance, and lenses that focus quickly and transmit enough light to allow for very fast shutter speeds. 'Point and Shoot' photography - 5 tips
Mustache? It is for charity - see here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=00oJwqniyZs Improve your photos using a point and shoot camera with these 5 tips. 1. Use your flash sparingly - turn it off when it isn't vital 2. Consider getting a small tripod - DSLR shooting demands accesories - so does any serious shooting. 3. Consider your file settings and final use of the images - is small/fine more suitable than Large/standard? 4. Use your zoom - wide angle tends to be distorted and can present issues with the proximity of the flash to the lens. 5. Be creative! Consider your framing, angle, perspective and background. Just because it is a simpler camera doesn't mean you should shoot without thought! ThatNikonGuy has been renamed to 'Matt Granger'. Canon Lenses for Portraits
Great images start with great lenses and in many ways a Digital SLR is defined by the quality, breadth and scope of its system of lenses. Canon EOS digital SLRs are backed up by the world's most comprehensive system of interchangeable lenses. Canon have more than 70 types of EF lenses, covering all possible shooting requirements and providing unlimited scope for creativity.Choose the style of photography that suits your style and we'll recommend the lenses and accessories that helps you best tell your imaging story. The best portraits are those that approximate our human interpretation of faces. In terms of focal length, that means anything between 50mm and 100mm. Aperture is also important. Wider apertures allow you to achieve finer depth-of-field. Distracting background detail is blurred and the focal point of your photograph -- the subject's face -- remains in sharp focus. Canon Lenses for Macro Photography
Macro lenses allow you to capture tiny objects at life-size. Shorter focal lengths (50mm-60mm) provide a wider field of view and more background detail. Medium or telephoto (90mm-180mm) macro lenses limit your field of view so that the subject can take up the entire frame. Canon EF-S 18-135mm and EF 40mm STM lenses
http://www.imageguy.com Video Transcript: Canon recently introduced two new lenses: the EF-S 18-135mm f/3.5-5.6 IS STM lens and the EF 40mm f/2.8 STM lens. Both STM lenses include Canon's new Stepping Motor technology, which allows the lenses to smoothly and silently focus, and when used in combination with Canon's new Movie Servo AF feature, achieve continuous AF while recording video. The new stepping motor technology in both lenses quietly focuses allowing the new Rebel T4i's stereo microphone to only record the sounds of the scene being shot. A quote from Canon's press release: The EF-S 18-135mm f/3.5-5.6 IS STM lens offers the right combination of size, weight, image stabilization and focal length, allowing photographers to capture wide-angle or telephoto photographs and video. This lens is a great option for photographers who may only want to carry one lens with them for both wide landscapes, and close-ups. Appearing for the first time in a Canon EF lens is Dynamic IS in the Movie Shooting Mode only, that uses a wide image stabilization correction range to help ensure steady video even when shooting while walking. The new EF 40mm f/2.8 STM lens offers an ultra-slim, lightweight design that helps photographers avoid overwhelming their subjects with a large lens and to remain discreet in sensitive shooting situations without compromising performance. The "pancake-style" lens boasts an aperture of f/2.8 making it an ideal lens for capturing portrait stills or stunning video. The lens is under an inch thick when attached, making it easy to carry. The new EF 40mm f/2.8 STM lens will have an estimated retail price of around $200 while the EF-S 18-135mm f/3.5-5.6 IS STM will have an estimated retail price of around $550. Both lenses will be available at the end of June 2012. Feel free to embed this video on any website as long as the advertising remains in place.

Canon Macro Lens Hack (using 35-80mm EF Lens)
In this video I show how you can turn a Canon EF 35-80mm lens into a macro lens. This is the older style lens and the process is really easy and completely reversible. On the Mark II & Mark III lenses, the outer element is secured by screws and it is a bit more complicated to remove. All macro pictures featured in this video were taken on a Canon EOS 600D with the adapted 35-80mm macro lens with no post processing. They are the native shots straight from the camera. I just wanna ask how can i achieve a perfect slowmotion effect in Adobe premiere pro CS6, im using Nikon D7000 @ 1280X720 - 30fps coz im ending up with a juggy video. I also tried 24fps and its much worst. Thanks in advance!!!" I answered (see comments) then decided to make a demo video so Antonio could see the results. It might not even be what he's looking for but I couldn't resist. Who needs sleep right? Yikes, the baby will be awake soon! Bed!;) Secret slow motion demo for Antonio, enjoy! http://youtu.be/XgeWESjRaCE
