Here are some of our tips! Paris is filled with the most iconic landmarks on earth and luckily for the budget traveler, they can all be seen for free! Choosing a holiday apartment rental can help you save a lot of money. You get more space, and bang for your buck and deeper discounts when you stay for a longer amount of time. Having a kitchen in your apartment is a great way to save money on meals. We find that eating out is one of the most expensive parts of travel. so if you can cook yourself a nice romantic dinner in with a bottle of fine wine from the Carfourre, you're going to save a lot of money When in Paris, make sure to take advantage of free tours, they're all over the place and it's a great way to learn about the history of Paris. Many museums in Paris offer free days, once a month, like the Museé D'Orsay here. On the first Sunday of every month, you can get in for free. Be sure to check and see when museums have discounts on certain days of the week where you can get in for the last couple of hours for a fraction of the price. When you're in Paris be sure to take advantage of the free churches like Notre Dame. They're absolutely beautiful inside and they're free! I'm on the steps of Sacre Couer in Mont Martre, and it's the best view of Paris, save for the Eiffel Tower or Monteparnasse, but this view is free. Choosing the right disctrict to stay in can save you a lot of money. This studio in Montmartre starts at 49 Euro a night. So another great budget tip in Paris is head down to your local Fanprix or Carfourre, grab yourself some meats, cheeses and baguettes, and head somewhere to have yourself a great picnic. When you do decide to eat out in Paris, make sure to hit the Latin Quarter, you can get a 3 course meal for under €20. Here's a tip to help you save money, whenever you see the emblem of Paris on a museum, it means it's free. Here's a great site in Paris that you can see for free! Instead of taking taxis or tourist busses, take the metro instead. Paris has an extensive system and it stops at all the major sites. There is so much that you can do for free in Paris, be it walking through the cemeteries of Monteparnasse and Pere la Chaise to visit the famous residents, to taking advantage of watching the talented musicians and artists performing in the streets. You don't need to go inside to witness beautiful art in Paris. The city itself is a living work of art.

Top 6 Places to Eat & Drink | Amsterdam Travel
Watch more How to Visit Amsterdam videos: http://www.howcast.com/videos/512229-Top-6-Places-to-Eat-and-Drink-Amsterdam-Travel Planning a trip to Amsterdam? Learn about six great places to eat and drink in this travel video. Tips include where to get haute cuisine based on traditional Dutch food and where to find good beer. "You’ll probably do a lot of walking while you explore Amsterdam, so you’ll need to eat well. Fortunately, that won’t be difficult. Amsterdam loves its cafés. Have coffee at the famous Café Americain, located in the Eden Amsterdam American Hotel. It’s been around since 1902, and is worth visiting if only for the stunning Art Nouveau interior. Café Luxembourg hasn’t been around for quite as long, but its high quality has made it a favorite for decades. When you’re ready for a real meal, go to D’Vijff Vlieghen for New Dutch Cuisine, high cuisine based on traditional Dutch food. The restaurant is made up of adjoining 17th-century houses, with rooms invoking the atmosphere of the Golden Age. One of Amsterdam’s best restaurants for fine dining is the critically acclaimed La Rive. It’s known for innovative, elegant French-Mediterranean inspired dishes. Indonesian cuisine is a favorite in Amsterdam, and Sama Sebo is one of the city’s oldest and most beloved Indonesian restaurants. It’s very popular, so you’ll want to make reservations. If you're a beer lover, you'll be happy to know you can find fantastic beer in Amsterdam–visit Brouwerij 't IJ, or the IJ Brewery, for a taste of authentic beer, made right there. Located inside the former bathhouse next to the De Gooyer windmill, it’s full of local flavor. "

Colombia: The BEST way to Travel
This is the BEST way to Travel Across Colombia...and also the cheapest :) Dangerous Colombia lived up to its reputation, but whilst witnessing some of the worst crimes so far, Colombia delivered the friendliest people and best adventures yet. In this episode we finally arrive at the Caribbean ocean, teach 200 kids how to slackline and take the Kombi to the furthest Northerly point in South America, a strictly 4x4 area....and there we host a bikini modelling shoot! DISCLAIMER: Keep in mind that these first episodes were made all on borrowed equipment, and we didn't even know how to make videos. We were learning on the road in South America - without internet and good ol' faithful YouTUBE to teach us. Needless to say our videos got a lot better once we bought a camera and computer and stared to learn how to edit. So if you watch the series from here you will not only see the early days of this incredible adventure but you will also be able to see our progress as we grow the channel and learn how to share the adventure. Paris Travel Video | Paris France Travel Guide | Backpack Europe | Budget Travel Paris
Paris Travel Video - Travel in Paris, France in a full length travel video including the Eiffel Tower, Champs Elysees, Louvre, Seine River, Notre Dame, Arc De Triomphe, Paris Boat Ride / Tour, Paris Obelisk, Place de la Concorde, Paris Metro and other destinations, structures and landmarks. Highlights include St Chappelle Church with 13th-century stained glass, La Sainte-Chapelle that once contained Louis IX's relics of Christ, which included the Crown of Thorns, the Image of Edessa and some thirty other items. Climb the Arc de Triomphe and look down on the historic axis (Axe historique) -- a sequence of monuments and grand thoroughfares on a route which goes from the courtyard of the Louvre, to the Grande Arche de la Défense. The monument was designed by Jean Chalgrin in 1806, and its iconographic program pitted heroic French against bearded Germanic warriors in chain mail. It set the tone for public monuments, with triumphant patriotic messages. Video of the Eiffel Tower, a iron lattice tower located on the Champ de Mars in Paris. It was named after the engineer Gustave Eiffel, whose company designed and built the tower. Erected in 1889 as the entrance arch to the 1889 World's Fair, it has become both a global cultural icon of France and one of the most recognizable structures in the world. Video includes scenes of a Notre Dame Cathedral service with video of the Pieta sculpture by Michelangelo, Rose Window and famous Stained Glass. Notre Dame Cathedral is widely considered to be one of the finest examples of French Gothic architecture and among the largest and most well-known church buildings in the world. The naturalism of its sculptures and stained glass are in contrast with earlier Romanesque architecture. Lunch on Avenue des Champs-Élysées, a street in Paris, France. With its cinemas, cafés, luxury specialty shops and clipped horse-chestnut trees, the Champs-Élysées is arguably one of the world's most famous streets, and is one of the most expensive strips of real estate in the world. Several French monuments are also on the street, including the Arc de Triomphe and the Place de la Concorde. The name is French for Elysian Fields, the place of the blessed dead in Greek mythology. According to a much used description, the Champs-Élysées is la plus belle avenue du monde ("the most beautiful avenue in the world"). Visit Place de la Concorde, designed by Ange-Jacques Gabriel in 1755 as a moat-skirted octagon between the Champs-Élysées to the west and the Tuileries Garden to the east. During the French Revolution the statue of Louis XV of France was torn down and the area renamed "Place de la Révolution". The new revolutionary government erected the guillotine in the square, and it was here that King Louis XVI was executed on 21 January 1793. Follow along to Luxembourg Park with Sailboats in the Fountain with Street Artists and Street Performers in Paris, France. Stroll on the Seine River, with 37 bridges within Paris and dozens more spanning the river outside the city. Examples in Paris include the Pont Louis-Philippe and Pont Neuf, the latter of which dates back to 1607. Outside the city, examples include the Pont de Normandie, one of the longest cable-stayed bridges in the world, which links Le Havre to Honfleur. Hotels in Los Angeles - Luxury, Moderate, Cheap
World Travel https://www.youtube.com/user/World1Tube Los Angeles, California, USA Travel Guide http://bit.ly/18CgG5A Hotels in Los Angeles - Luxury, Moderate, Cheap Los Angeles Hotels =================== There's a wide choice of hotels in LA though at the budget end, you'll have a harder time finding something that isn't part of a motel chain or a hostel. Shop around for deals, especially outside of the summer months, and be prepared to stay in the suburbs of Burbank, Glendale or North Hollywood and drive in if you want to save even more. The Los Angeles hotels are grouped into three pricing categories: Luxury (over US$300) Moderate (US$150 to US$300) Cheap (up to US$150) These Los Angeles hotel prices are for a double room, per night, excluding breakfast and tax, unless otherwise specified. All hotel bills are subject to a 14% occupancy tax, which is added to the bill at the end of a stay. Parking fees may also apply. Shutters on the Beach ======================== One of only two LA luxury hotels right on the beach, Shutters combines sophisticated stylishness with a beach holiday atmosphere - understated elegance rules. The lobby has comfy couches, a gas-lit fireplace and esteemed modern art, including pieces by David Hockney and Roy Lichtenstein. Each of the 198 rooms has a verandah with table and chairs and an ocean or pool view. All rooms have a four-poster bed and a copy of Hemingway's Old Man and the Sea. Dine at The One Pico restaurant or the casual Coast bar, which has a great happy hour. The Beverly Wilshire =============== Classical grandeur, impeccable service, 21st-century technology and a great location (right off Rodeo Drive) make this Four Seasons hotel renowned. (The Julia Roberts/Richard Gere movie, Pretty Woman, made it popular with tourists.) An ornately carved entrance leads to a magnificent lobby with Grecian columns and tapestries surrounded by the elegant Boulevard Restaurant and wood-panelled piano lounge. Rooms are luxurious with marble bathrooms, some overlooking the garden patio and pool - which is rather on the small side. The sleek Wolfgang Puck steakhouse, Cut, and the minimalist lounge, Sidebar, are popular with well-heeled locals. Treatments at the hotel's elegant, refurbished spa are an indulgence. Beverly Hills Hotel ============ Now owned by the Sultan of Brunei, this is pure Hollywood glamour, old-style. Built in 1912, the hotel has seen the honeymoons of six of Elizabeth Taylor's marriages and was featured in the star-studded 1978 movie California Suite . The famous Polo Lounge (a nostalgic vision in pink and green stripes and palm-printed wallpaper) is still a favourite among film directors and producers. The rooms have it all, including two cable TVs (one in the bathroom), marble baths and walk-in closets, while more secluded bungalows are also available, nestled around the pool area. A whirlpool, fitness centre, tennis courts and business centre complete the scene. The Farmer's Daughter ========================= This funky West Hollywood boutique hotel with a rural theme has an onsite restaurant called Tart, and features denim duvets, distressed hardwood floors and wrought iron artwork. It's in a great location opposite LA's historic Farmer's Market and The Grove shopping and dining centre. It's a short walk to Fairfax Village with its Jewish delis and bakeries and close to more shopping at the the Beverly Center and to LACMA, LA's famed art museum. It's less than a mile from Rodeo Drive. Sheraton Universal ================ Bang next door to Universal Studios and the bustling nightlife of Universal Citywalk, it's ideally placed to visit the theme park and studios. Technically in North Hollywood, it's close to Burbank (home to Warner Brothers studios) and within easy reach of Hollywood's main attractions via car or taxi or you can hop on the Metro Red Line, which is just one stop to Hollywood and Highland. The hotel has a somewhat corporate air but is relaxed enough to offer a poolside bar. The Standard ========== Visitors come here because this hotel manages to be both chic and affordable. They are given a glimpse of what to expect when they see the sign outside for The Standard, spelt upside-down - an example of the clever eccentricity that hotel designer André Balazs (who also refurbished Chateau Marmont) is renowned for. Young sophisticates gather in the floor-to-ceiling shag-carpeted lobby with live DJ and performance art shows, the poolside cafe or the 24-hour restaurant, which serves quality American comfort food. Rooms offer kitsch furniture like beanbag chairs. ========================= Los Angeles Videos, Los Angeles, Los Angeles Tourism, Los Angeles Travel Guide, Los Angeles Vacation, Los Angeles tours, Los Angeles Attractions, Los Angeles Restaurants, Los Angeles Shopping, Los Angeles Transport, Los Angeles Museums, California, California Travel Guide, California Tourism, California Vacation, United States of America

Driving through the Republic of Congo
After finally receiving my scooter in Franceville, Gabon I made the trip towards the Congo. But again, it wasn't without any lack of drama. I had two flat tires before I even made it to the border. I was planning on hitting the sand road of the Congo by about 8am, but with the flats, and the fact I was in the middle of nowhere, I didn't hit the sand until about 1030. The sand road in the Congo was absolutely grueling. There were so many times driving the road towards Oyo that I just about quit and set up at the side of the road to sleep for the night. Following the sand day I crashed at the house of a Lebanese expat for the night and pushed on to Brazzaville. Two days later, and I arrive at the outskirts of Brazzaville, Congo. But my visa expires today, so what will I do? Stay tuned. For travel articles and photography visit my blog http://www.brendansadventures.com and my travel magazine http://www.vagabundomagazine.com

Basic shopping vocabulary in English
http://www.engvid.com/ Use English to shop and save money. When you finish this basic English vocabulary lesson, you will be able to shop with confidence and get what you want when you are in a store! Avoid getting ripped off. Make sure you get a warranty, and a receipt! http://www.engvid.com/basic-shopping-vocabulary/ TRANSCRIPT: [Singing] "Got to buy some dinner tonight." Hi. James from EngVid. So what are we doing? We're going to talk about shopping today. As you can see, I have to go shopping because our budget -- we usually have a big magazine, and I'm down to this poor little piece of paper. But my dinner is on, so why don't we go to the board. Now, ladies and gentlemen, boys and girls, something we have to do wherever you go. You do it in your own country. We do it here. What I'm going to teach you is the vocabulary for basic shopping. So there -- we have two other videos on engVid that talk about shopping and specific things. You can go and watch those as well. I recommend you do. But for now, just so you can go into a store anywhere that they speak English and get what you want, when you need it, the way you want it, we're going to do this lesson right now. So the first thing you want to do is -- well, you want to know if it's on sale. "Sale" means "cheaper price". So that's what we mean, "is it on sale?" The first thing you can ask, like, "Do you have anything on sale?" For instance: Club Savings. All these foods are on sale. Regular price 20, now 17. I'm saving money. So "sale" really means -- s-a for "save". You're saving money because you're going to pay less than the actual, original price. Which leads me to the next word: "price" and "cost". For some of you guys you're like, "We know these things." But it's actually using it properly or effectively. You can say, "How much does it cost?" which is different than "price". They're similar -- not same. "Cost" means "what do I have to give you". "Price" is what -- what the actual money is. So you can say, "How much does this cost me?" Maybe two hours. And I'm using it differently than price. So similar -- not same. So what is the "price"; what is the "cost". And they will tell you how much money you have to give them, okay? Cool. That comes with the word "pay". When you have a price or cost and you give them money, you must "pay". I work in an English school, and people have to "pay". That means, "Give the money." But you can give not just money, but different things in different forms. So one of the things we can do is, we can use our credit cards. Everybody -- not everyone. A lot of people have it if you're over 18 -- piece of plastic that you give, and they say, "This is worth this much money, and you can use your card to pay with it." Okay? Visa, American Express, MasterCard -- these are credit cards. Debit. In North America, we're in love with our debit cards. It's a card that you get from your bank that has direct access to your account. So not like a credit card where the bank is lending you some money or letting you take some money for now, and you pay it back. That's the "credit card". Debit is right in your account, so if you have $500, they literally -- oh, sorry, "literally" means "really", "in reality", or "actually" -- take the money out of your account. So you can use either debit or credit to pay. And my favourite, favourite of everyone's -- I don't have any: cash. Cash. Money. The old fashion way of doing things, right? Give them the money -- transaction done. "Transaction" is when you do business. You "transact" because one thing goes to another. You get product; they get money. It's a "transaction", okay? Taxes. Every country has them. In some countries, like England -- where they speak the Queen's English -- taxes are included. So if it says $15, it's $15. But folks, I live in Canada. And what you see is not what you get. $15 becomes $16.50. $100 becomes $115. $1,000 is -- $1,150. That's right. Our taxes are not included. So when you come to America or Canada, be careful because you might actually have to pay taxes. You see this, "Incl.": "taxes included". It will be taxes -- it's good. It means price -- what you pay. Most of the times, you won't see anything, and it means "add more money". "Taxes" are what the government gets -- okay. Understand this. It's what the government gets for you buying something because they want their money, too. Anyway.

To the north, Italy borders France, Switzerland, Austria, and Slovenia, and is approximately delimited by the Alpine watershed, enclosing the Po Valley and the Venetian Plain. To the south, it consists of the entirety of the Italian Peninsula and the two Mediterranean islands of Sicily and Sardinia, in addition to many smaller islands. The sovereign states of San Marino and the Vatican City are enclaves within Italy, while Campione d'Italia is an Italian exclave in Switzerland. Italy covers an area of 301,338 km2 (116,347 sq mi) and has a largely temperate climate. With 60 million inhabitants, it is the fifth most populous country in Europe. Italy is also the fourth economic power of the European continent and the eighth of the world. Italy's capital and largest city, Rome, has for centuries been the leading political and religious centre of Western civilisation, as the capital of the Roman Empire and of Christianity. In the Dark Ages, Italy suffered continual invasions by Germanic tribes, while the Roman heritage was preserved by Christian monks. Beginning from the 11th century, Italian cities rose to great prosperity through shipping, commerce and banking (modern capitalism, indeed, has its roots in Medieval Italy), while culture flourished especially during the Renaissance, with scholars, artists and polymaths such as Leonardo da Vinci, Galileo, Michelangelo and Machiavelli. Nonetheless, Italy remained fragmented into numerous warring states for the rest of the Middle Ages, so it eventually fell prey to other big European nation-states, notably France, Spain and later Austria, entering a long period of decline which lasted until the beginning of the 18th century. After many unsuccessful attempts, the second and the third wars of Italian independence resulted in the unification of most of present-day Italy in 1859-1866.[8] Between the late 19th century and the early 1900s, The new Kingdom of Italy quickly industrialized and acquired a vast a colonial empire in Africa. However, the South and rural areas in the North remained largely excluded from industrialization, fuelling a large diaspora. Despite victory in World War I, Italy entered a period of economic crisis and social turmoil, that favoured the establishment of a Fascist dictatorship in 1922. The subsequent participation in World War II at the side of Nazi Germany ended in military catastrophe, economic destruction and civil war. In post-war years, Italy abolished the monarchy, embraced democracy and enjoyed a prolonged economic boom, thus becoming one of the most developed nations in the world. Italy was a founding member of the European Community in 1957, which became the EU in 1993. It is part of the Schengen Area, and has been a member of the Eurozone since 1999. Italy is considered a middle, regional power and is a member state of the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development, the World Trade Organization, the G8, G20, NATO, the Council of Europe and the United Nations. Italy currently maintains the world's tenth-largest nominal defence budget and is a participant in the NATO nuclear sharing policy.

Food Items to Pack for Caribbean Travel
