SmartReview.com attended the Consumer Electronics Show (CES 2015) to see Sony's latest Lens type mirrorless cameras. A lens style camera can stand alone, or be mounted to your smartphone. When mounted to your smartphone, you can see and control the camera as if you have a real DSLR. Pictures are send wirelessly to the cell phone, as well as being stored on the lens camera itself. The QX1 sets itself apart from the others in that it can mount many different lenses, just like a DSLR. The other models, QX10, QX30, and QX100 have a fixed built-in lens. Don't Forget To Subscribe: http://bit.ly/1LxRhNO Cinema Lens Or Photography Lens? Just because it's cinema glass, doesn't mean you should use it. Sometimes we forget the reason why we need a piece of equipment, and how we are going to use it. For me, I prefer photography glass, because I'm usually a one man crew, or a crew of no more than 5. Focus pulling is a full time job, and for me, that just isn't an option. So, for me I choose photography lens over the big and beautiful cinema glass. Now, with that said, If I do have a bigger crew, and/or a larger scale project, actors, marks, scrips and so forth, I would for sure go with the cinema lens. The markings on cinema lens make them 100% easier to hit your mark. The extra aperture blades make the bokeh more round and creamy, and there's just something about a big piece of cinema glass in your hands that makes a cinematographer cry. So, before you rush out and purchase that cinema prime, ask yourself "Do I really need this?" "Will this add value to my story?" "What type of shooting will I be doing?" I have to thank the guys over at TV Specialist Inc. for all their help and equipment. Presented by Canon With over 70 lenses to choose from in the Canon EOS System, how does one make the right choice? In this video, presented by Canon USA’s Rudy Winston, gives you valuable insight on choosing the right lenses for your needs. He shows you how similar lenses differ from each other and explain why others are more expensive. Rudy helps simplify the choices, and furthermore gives you sound advice on how to get the best possible images with different types of lenses. He explores the options and the power of Canon’s wide-angle, telephoto, and special-purpose lenses. And the emphasis for this Seminar is on the lenses that are priced within reach of most photo enthusiasts, rather than exotic lenses that can be very expensive. This presentation is packed with great images and useful information, whether you’re a first-time DSLR user or an experienced enthusiast. Shop at B&H: http://bit.ly/Canonlenses

This "Quick Tip" may seem simple to those who have been shooting for a long time. But for those who are just getting into shooting the simple question of the best way to hand hold the camera always arrises. http://froknowsphoto.com/the-best-way-to-hand-hold-your-camera-quick-tip The tip is simple, right hand on the grip, left hand under the lens not over with your elbows tucked. When you tuck your elbows you are giving yourself stability which should lead to sharper images. When it comes to how to shoot vertical there are two ways. Either your camera has a built in vertical release or it doesn't. If it do it's simple simply turn the camera so the shutter button is at the top. If you don't have one in my opinion the best way to shoot is to turn the camera so the shutter button is at the top not the bottom and tuck the elbows. If you follow these simple tips you should have an easier time getting sharper images. Ever thought about a large format camera for macro studio photography. This guide gives you a way of shooting macro or even Micro photography in a controlled environment. It also shows a guide on what to look out for when choosing a second hand Sinar Camera . The large format camera is a wonderful experience , being able to change the plane of focus is something any still life photographer cannot live without, so tilt shift lens or large format Sinar that is the question.

Olympus is bringing its Air 01 Micro Four Thirds interchangeable lens camera to the U.S. and Canada in July. Similar to Sony’s QX1, the Air is a lens adapter designed to work with iOS and Android devices, with all the camera guts inside a compact cylinder, minus a display and traditional camera controls. The lens mount is compatible with 4/3 lenses from Olympus, Panasonic, and other manufacturers. The North American version will have its own app and support for Amazon Cloud Drive. Price is around $300 for the body only, or $500 with a 14-42mm lens. This is a quick look at the Cameo Lanc cable. This cable was provided for review by AbelCine in NYC. No connection exists between myself and AbelCine. The Cameo LANC Cables convert closed circuit trigger signals from a handgrip or video lens to a LANC record/stop signal and a second user-assignable function (on compatible cameras). In this video, I use it with a ENG B4-mount lens on a JVC LS300 Super35mm video camera to start and stop recording, as well as to toggle whatever I assign to user function #4 by pressing the RET(URN) button on the lens' grip. This makes it possible to use this large sensor 4K camcorder in a typical "ENG-style" operation with an on-shoulder brace. The LANC circuitry is protected in a housing that about the size of an AA battery and is powered from the LANC port. Compatible cameras include: Sony cameras including FS7, FS700, FS100 Canon cameras including C100, C300, C500, XF-105 Blackmagic Pocket Cinema, Cinema, Production 4K, and URSA cameras JVC cameras including JVC GY-HM170, GY-HM200, GY-HM300, GY-HM600, GY-HM650, GY-HM850, GY-HM890, and the GY-LS300 More information on the cable can be found here: https://www.abelcine.com/store/Cameo-LANC-Cable Or call Jesse Rosen at 888.223.1599.
