The cast of the “Descendants” films are posting pics on social media on the set of “Descendants 3” and the fans are thrilled. They’ve cast some new villain and villain kid roles, and fans are now pretty sure they know for certain who Mal’s dad is going to be. But is this announcement of the actor playing Hades meant to throw us off? There are other new villains who have been cast as well.
So is Cheyenne Jackson, who is confirmed to play Hades also going to be in the role of Mal’s dad? That remains to be seen. There are still a couple of other possibilities that we will explore in this video. It all just seems too easy. But then again, there was a picture of Dove Cameron all buddied up with Cheyenne Jackson on Instagram. There are a couple of things we know for sure. The “Descendants 3” movie is definitely happening. The cast seems stoked about it, and there are new cast members to get excited about. Let’s have some fun!

My fan theory is that Hades is Mals dad because in the end of Hurqules Hades falls down into the giant portal of souls which he loses his powers in and as punishment for his actions is sent to earth to live his life as a emortal human. And Maleficent found him and pittyed him so she asked him to stay with her. Later on pitty turned into love and there was Mal. He left well because he was afraid to be a father and hid on Skull island.
When Maleficent says she had a moment of weakness with a feeble human, does she mean she raped the prince when he was in her captivity? That may explain why young Mal is beautiful. It would also make her and Audrey half-sisters. How's that for a half-sister Mal doesn't know about? I expect Mal would find this theory the most unsettling.
Hades is Mal's dad because if he doesn't have a kid in descendants 3 then why would he be in descendants 3 then if he doesn't have a son or a daughter in descendants 3 and Dr. Ficella sorry if I spelled that wrong is going and he has a daughter in descendants 3 and why would they have a random parent come in without a child
If King Stephen is Mal's dad that make her sleeping beauty ' s sister and Audry's aunt. I hear someone being sent to her room for being mean to her aunt . But why do most of the possible fathers had men can't be be good. And if he is King Stephen that would be a reason for him not to invite maleficent to the baptism of his daughter, with his wife, that is bad manners.
The blue flame could be the will o wisp or the fla,e ciukd be a way her father is communicating through Hades from the underworld. Ouuuuh two options and one being completely open ended as to who's soul is reaching out though Stephan being the evil human would be a good bet. Though I don't know .maleficent likes to make green flames poof into being and hades is the same but with blue flames. They have fallen for each other at first light .
I see what they did there...
Either Hades or a Human is mals father. For all we know while her father is the Bright Blue Orb he could be human but when Powers of any kind he never knew of, of himself. At least he made an appearance in this show as a Orb though, he could be a Powerful man for all we know
I have a theory. Merida's home MAY actually be near Auradon! Or something like that. In the one trailer, the blue thingy calling to Mal looks JUST like a wisp. And the forest looks like where Merida is led to in the movie, Brave. I mean, I think I saw the rocks in the trailer. I haven't seen it for a while, but if memory serves me correctly, I really think I saw the rocks! I have another theory that Merida's son or daughter is going to be in Descendants 3, since it seems like Mal is in the forest Merida finds the wisps. Maybe Maleficent could make a comeback in this movie. Hades is possibly her husband, so maybe they are going to try and make Mal evil again! Or take Auradon over. Could happen!
Since Maleficent has confirmed that Mal's dad is a 'weak human', my guess is it can't be a God like Hades or a fellow sorcerer like Dr Facilier. My theory is Mal's dad is probably Gaston. It would be an ironic twist considering that Mal is dating the son of Gaston's worst enemies.
Hey when i saw the video pic in campus one of the nerds came looking at my mac saying Mal's father is Dantdam
I just rolled my eyes at him
But at the same time i was happy coz i thought dantdam is goin tu be in desendants dat would be epic
I don’t think Mal’s dad is Hades, and I don’t want him to be. I’m not saying it would be bad or anything, it’s just to obvious. Since the first trailer came out everyone, no not everyone, but mostly everyone thinks it’s Hades. But I think the blue flame was just to throw us off and make us assume it’s Hades. If Mal’s dad were to really be Hades, why would they let everyone know he was showing up in the movie. Especially when they showed us a trailer with a blue flame. The writers I think just wanted to throw us off. So when we do learn of his true identity no one would expect it. And in the book “The isle of the lost” it clearly mentions that he was in fact human. Not once, not twice, but multiple times. Some will say that Maleficent just lied to Mal about his true identity, which makes sense considering she is the mistress of evil. But when Mal and Maleficent mention him in the book, especially Maleficent, I could almost feel the hate and truth in her words when she said how he was a weak human, and blames him on why Mal isn’t all that bad herself.
I don't think that the theory of mal being hades daughter is true because hades only had 3 kids melinoe, macaria, and zagreus and his spouse was Persephone but I mean it's not like he could have cheated on Persephone with maleficent and had mal. Idk though..I'm still pretty iffy about this theory.
Mal and uma are sister's male dad is posidens brother that why mal can swim and breathe under water and so can uma that makes aerial their cousin the so call blue flame wasn't a flame but a light water is blue in the movies duh make the connection if u look at the history of posiden he had a step brother w/o is a half demi god of water that made him evil and jealous of posiden because he was half human half god just as powerful in the movie Ursula claim that she know wat a man want and she know about love and how it dangerous just before she take aerials voice have u ever notice when uma and mal were fighting uma eyes turned blue like that light u saw in the forest or that when they were fight and mal broke uma hypnosis on Ben and took her necklace nothing happen but when ezzie tried to take the necklace off she couldn't dang I might just have gave away all the secrets lol it was easy for me to make this guess based on what was shown and wat I know from the history of Ursula and posiden
I think it's king Steffen Malifasint did say she hates male dad and in the movie malifasent medicament was with a boy looks like they got married and the boy cut her wings of maybe they broke up just a thoght
