430 ratings | 55495 views
So in this video I don't actually name any particular lenses that you should definitely go out and buy, but rather I explain maybe how to go about purchasing lenses if you're interested in fashion photography, and how to choose lenses that may suit your style of photography too. :) Hope it helps! You shoot not really 1.8 on Fashion Photos?
If you where to do fashion photography, the best cameras to use for fashion photography is buying an mirrorless camera. But still ....when it's comes with fashion photography within the photography industry they still rather for you to used DSLR. Of course you're not gonna get better quality by using dslr of taking photography, but it's worth best of getting that abilities especially for beginners lil me.

I have a canon 80d with kit lens 18-55, but am not very happy with the result. Mostly my photo shoot product photography like fashion dresses and output is good. can you help to short list few lenses? Thanks.

so 24-70mm is best for whole outfit photoshoot with a bit blurry background?:D

+Aleš Mohorič You get decent bokeh on closeups at the 70 end. To get bokeh on the 24 end you'd have to be very close to the model, but at that distance facial features distort. Personally I'll only use <50 on a full body shot.

24-70 has very little blur or bokeh unfortunately. Especialy Canon 24-70 MK2.

Would you say the lens that come with the Sony a6000 camera is good enough, for portrait photos for a retail website?

I have a Canon Rebel T3, I need to photograph clothing only for an ecommerce site. I am currently using the lens kit it came with, 18-55MM Macro. I am not getting the desired crisp quality on the photographs I take, they are decent but I want to be able to zoom in a little but on the actual photograph and look good. I use lights with ISO of 100 and using F8-F11. Should I get better lens if so which ones? Or should I get the newest canon DSLR camera?

that Canon rebel t3i can take some great photos--getting some new lenses is for sure something to look into. That kit lens is ok, but isn't great is lower light, so you're limited when it comes to fashion photography. I know you weren't asking me--but I saw your comment and I shoot with the t3i so I figured I'd comment. My instagram is @alidabon if you want to see what some images look like with the 50mm 1.8 and the 35mm f2

Hello, I really enjoy and learn from your videos. I don't shoot digital I am film photographer, this video in particular cheer me up and made me feel good. I know there are a lot of technical background behind choosing a lens, specifically talking about the "background compression", this concept blocked me but now that I see your opinion it's very nice seeing someone has the same opinion I have . Best regards.

+Kayleigh June How do you like the 24-70mm and the 50mm? When did you get them? I'm saving my money to buy the 24-70mm for my first L series lens. I have heard great things about that lens.
