Love your videos ! They give a very in depth view of what happened to these plane crashes , cinematic shots are really nice especially in 4K, lots of details and just overall a great video after a Long day of work or school.Keep it up please!

The way you presented the video it's so factual. Right down to the different changing of the music at the end. Keep it just like it is flight Channel, you do an excellent job.

Great video, even though it’s tragic. Not only are they great after a long day’s work or school but also after a couple of hours of working out. 💪🏻💪🏻 R.I.P. passengers and crew of Ethiopian Airlines Flight 409.

Obsa Tera (21 days ago)
A pilot with this much flight hours and experience wouldn't have committed this mistake (at least simple maneuvers and instructions). The plane might have been hijacked or hit on air by world's super powers perhaps to kill one person on board.
jamesog101 (22 days ago)
Amazing videos i stumbled upon your channel and have watched about 20 so far very sad and unfortunate events. Anyway as a newbie to aviation cant autopilot help with alot of the pilot error or in this case do pilots manually fly the plane until they get to their cruising altitude?
bigmac (23 days ago)
Why do I get in a good mood when your videos start?? I get a warm and fuzzy inside when your moody and sad music starts. I know how its going to end but I love airliners so much I just get excited at your productions. Please everyone, dont hate me.

I agree with others that the captain and maybe others were impaired from alcohol or something else. There's just no way that someone with training could behave in this fashion while sober, unless they committed suicide.

ive watched over 20 of these video's and as good as they are im seeing basically one common theme and that is these pilots are retards, how do they get their pilots licenses, I cant believe how unfocused these dumb asses are, I don't give a damn if they want to die because of their incompetence but its a sad sight to see when they mass murder hundreds of people at a time, im just sickened by these dumb ass pilots, unbelievable, all pilot training should be done in the united states and im sure over 50% of these accident would be avoided with consistent training, I will never fly on a foreign airline again unless its El Al,

Sounds similar to the accident three years earlier from the Kenya Airways flight. Looks like the pilots were a bit disorientated, plus it was flown at the dead of night in the middle of a storm. That's always dangerous.

At about 8:00 of this video I decided that probably some very heavy cargo in the cargo hold had broken free and was sliding forward and backward as well as side to side, making the airplane behave in very abnormal fashion. Either that, or something had gone wrong with the airplane control systems. Plus, wild, crazy gusts can push airplanes into odd banks and pitches, and given the weather this could have contributed to the lack of control we see. When you watch this video, observe how the bank and pitch instruments are going all over the place. Believe me, pilots with more than 100 hours instinctively and habitually understand how to interpret those instruments and make appropriate corrections with the wheel or stick (and rudder pedals). So I simply cannot believe the pilots let things get as far out of whack as they got without manipulating the controls appropriately. Which leaves me thinking something went very wrong with the control system to prevent pilot actions from manipulating the control surfaces appropriately and/or influences from shifting cargo and wind gusts. PS: If the airplane should not have left the airport, then the ATC should have shut down the airport and not cleared them to depart. That was a totally bogus excuse.

I would venture a guess that the pilots were not incompetent, having and spacial awareness or aircraft control problems - but that they were hijacked or under duress. Obviously they know what a stick shaker is, and do not order 'go around' at 8000ft at when you get an excessive bank angle alarm; those things are not even related. No one could be that retarded. Oxygen isnt needed until 12000 feet and even then its not hard to breathe. If they have been hijacked, the captor would likely tell them not to contact ATC. When crazy stuff starts happening (ie stick shaker, bank angle) they are use a confusing subterfuge to inform the ATC something is wrong with their only means of available (allowed) communication. No pilot would ever be flying an excessive bank angle at 8000ft and order a go around when the alarm comes on. The stick shaker goes off twice for like a minute? No response to ATC? Pretty obvious the Minister covering this up bigtime too. Awesome channel!

1:46 The pilot has 10,000 hours of flying time "on his back". If he had spent some of that time sitting upright, he would have been able to read the instruments better. 6:57 The stick shaker activates, and the captain says, "What's that?"?! Of all people, shouldn't a pilot with 10K hours know? Are we even sure that the pilot was the guy with 10K flight hours, and not the co-pilot (or someone with even less training)? Unreal.

I don’t think we know of all the night time accidents of Middle Eastern airlines. Sorry to say, but these guys even with lots of hours seem to lose their situational position and roll into the ground. How many B-737 have gone down that way in that part of the world?

it's either these pilots had no idea what they were doing, and wanted to die, or this was done on purpose. it seems very strange how they would act like they could hear the instructions but still do the opposite. hmmm weird

These videos are beautiful and so well made. No matter how low the passengers my heart sinks when I finish the video. I wish these kinds of pilots would realize that life isn’t a game. You don’t have several lives, you should never risk the one you have. Your videos spread awareness in a way documentaries never can. We thank you for all the hard work and facts you add into your videos. Thank you 😊

Apparently, unlike what it's said in the video ("... and acknowledgement from the crew" at 6:12) pilots haven't read the right 270° turn to avoid the storm until they had already lost control of the plane. That "two, one..." from the captain and F/O's "Confirm 210?" seem to show it...

So basically....The Pilot and the F/O were two stupid fucks? Or was this simply an Allahu akbar moment? When to disembark..... When you see your Pilot entering the cockpit with a prayer rug. when you hear the Pilot tell the Co Pilot."I shouldn't have had that sixth Mai Tai." When you see your pilot stumbling into the cockpit." When your pilot says.."I forgot to put in my contacts." Or says."I think it's time for cataract surgery." Or says"Why did she leave me? I think I'm going to kill myself."

Your vids are mostly disturbing and tragic, but so well done and informative.
Glenn Hoddle (2 months ago)
IMHO , the official investigation seemed to leave more questions than answers. Yes , it looks logical to blame the pilots for not following the ATC's instructions but the captain was highly experienced . Fatigue was given as an excuse but the airlines dismissed that . What's interesting is that Radar contact was lost about four to five minutes into the flight, while witnesses near the coast reported seeing the aircraft on fire as it crashed into the sea. The CVR was recovered minus a memory storage unit so perhaps vital cockpit conversations were lost .
VegasGirl35 (1 month ago)
It definitely feels like an incomplete picture. All the pilots had to do was input the heading into the computer, no? Yet it seems from the outset they couldn't control the airplane. Why would they be turning at such a severe angle all kinds of warnings were going off? Very odd.
Robel ZE (2 months ago)
Thank you for the video Very nice! I am from Ethiopia I remember that day like it happened last week. There are confusions in Ethiopia about how the plane went down. I know this is the official report given but on the day it happened there were several eye witnesses on the news channels saying they heard explosion in the sky and they saw the plane going down in flames. Check this video links of news from that day https://youtu.be/Hn3xfC3D57U https://youtu.be/1L9AZtd2EzU Is it possible that a pilot error can cause fire on the plane? I am asking because many believe there was a coverup. Even I heard some saying the pilot's question "what is that?" was not about the stick shaker but it was about the explosion.

When you fly in bad weather your asking for trouble. I never fly in winter, w/ snow & ice. Even in good weather planes crash. But when the weather is off & stormy the risks are there.
Joe Smith (3 months ago)
It seems wherever the crash is, whatever airline it is, whatever aircraft is involved, the American NTSB is sent, even if it’s a foreign airline in a foreign country in a foreign aircraft. Why?
King Aminadab (3 months ago)
First of all the black box taken to Germany by the name of investigating and the investigating thing takes more than 3 years. after that all parties blindly blames the pilots, but the investigators didn't give an credible evidence for the public because there is a serious business behind that, and they told us what they wants. on the other side the ET Airlines keep shuts his mouth as long as it takes the insurance. when we back to the fact there ware the eye witness who saws the plane ignite on air before touching the ground ( Israeli shot down b/c they thought the top Hezbollah guy is on board). RIP for the innocent souls but as always said behind every story there is three sides, your side their side and the truth.
