Thanks so much for your straight-to-the-point useful videos that will most def help me plan my next NYC adventure...XOXO from Tel Aviv! If you are here, I can show you cheap and good places here, as TLV is also darn expensive...
Wow great deals going on but I'm just going to pass on all those restaurants after being exterminator for 15 years service in Manhattan Queens and Brooklyn most places I will not eat or even drink a glass of water
We land in NYC tomorrow and we will defo be checking a lot of these places out. What I found really useful was the titles at the side so I could just take a photo them and when we get there I can just see the info straight away.
Thanks for sharing Sarah.
I find it so difficult to understand the tipping process. It's not as easy as "15 to 20%". I don't know when it's expected, some workers are caught by surprise when I tip them, I have no idea how to tip when I'm paying a very cheap thing like 2 dollars (I will give 40 cents to the person? Isn't that too low and weird?)
It's pretty simple. If you have a waiter or are ordering alcohol from a bartender then you should tip. If there is not waiter then you don't tip. For each bar tender drink leave a dollar. Does that make sense?
My favorite inexpensive pizza place was Patzerias!! I was able to get a huge slice of cheese pizza, some garlic knots, and a can coke all for $5 and change! I loved the pizza and garlic knots and I miss it everyday😍🤤 I’ll have to check out Prince Street next time though!
Sarah, i wished I had watched your videos before. We recently went to New York and loved it. Your advice is awesome and we are going back in the new year. So your advice is going to help us so much for the new trip Great videos keep them coming...
Hey Sarah (or anyone else who can help), which airline would you recommend? Because I'm flying from Dublin to NYC in a few months, and the two cheapest options are Delta or United, but I've never flown with either, so I don't know which is better. There's also KLM for slightly more money, if Delta and United are both terrible... I hate flying most of the time, so picking a decent airline is kind of important for a 7 hour flight.
Any advice would be appreciated!
Already have... good channel.. had to review and remind myself when going back (haven't been back in 15 years) over the last several months as my uncle is on his last days and unfortunately he passed away last Wednesday. The cheap eats will come in handy after I return in a few weeks :-) I prefer Queens myself
+Sarah Funk I wanted to say that in a System with good Moral values, somebodu like Al would be only a black spot in Human history. He won't deserve a Movie, Book, Theather, PhD in areas of psyhology... just won't. Unfortunately, he is used to populate a History lessons :(

Hi Sarah. Do you Know someone that gives bew york tour in Spanish. My husband does not speak english, and we would like a guide to show us the city with good info about buildings, architecture and places to go. I will apreciate any help..🤗
Stupid question here, bars/ clubs for 40-something’s? When we visit NYC we don’t want to walk into a place that we are too old for. Maybe it is not an issue there, but where I live, if you are 40-something and walk into a place for younger ones, you won’t have a good time. We are looking for fun places for the young at heart. Dancing, music, etc.., Basically everything you can do at a place geared for the younger crowd, but someplace we won’t be age-shamed at. Some people expect 40+ something’s to be old fuddy-duddies, but we are just as fun and active as anyone else.
When I used to live in NYC on a low budget I much preferred to get meals at Delis that offered pay-by-weight buffets, especially after a certain hour when they were priced half off: that way I could get lots of healthy foods, including greens, veggies, whole foods, etc, at a very reasonable price. I also loved press juice places. Staying healthy is really important.
Didnt know theres a mexican Horchata. Its good to know. Here in Spain weve got a totally different one, made of Chufa, which is a crop from the sedge family. Chufa, water and sugar, all smashed and turn into a milky kind of drink. Yummy!!
I used to take my son to the children’s Museum of Manhattan on the first Friday of the month after like 5 o’clock it was free but they no longer do that I just called to confirm. The museum of natural history is pay what you wish and they have a section for kids in an area where they could pretend to dust off bones and play with toys. In Queens the Hollis science is free if you get there before 11 on a Sunday I would have to double check it to see if they still offer that but I’m sure they do. They have a section for little kids with a pretend supermarket , blocks they may have a toy train and books. And there’s section there were you can practice baseball and surfing.
I’ve experienced all the touristy things to do in New York back in 2014. I’m going back again in March of 2019 and I’ve been watching your videos, which are extremely helpful. Def’ planning my trip based off most of your suggestions so thank you!!
