WebVMan (5 days ago)
My ideal girl would wear Big Hair, neon Triangle earrings, a cut-off band tee, leggings, a tutu, neon legwarmers, Keds or Converse, neon layered bracelets, and mesh fingerless gloves.
WebVMan (5 days ago)
80's: Wear your sweater around your neck. 90's: Wear your Flannel shirt around your waist. 2000's: Wear your hoodie around your waist. 2010's: Wear a skirt if you're a man.
WebVMan (5 days ago)
I'm a man watching Ms. Mojo. I guess that makes me a Misster.
Douglas Griffiths (7 days ago)
My wife has long hair, and has tons of scrunchies. She also wears some neon (with black), geometric patterned pieces, and Swatch watches. A lot of her clothes are from the 80s.
NeilaNamai (9 days ago)
I LOVE the 80s hairstyle! Like Bonnie Tyler had! Does someone know if it has a specific name? My mom told me it was called 'brushing' (or something like that) but i'm not sure
askaksa (13 days ago)
i LOVE how y'all put heathers on the cover
Bamboo Blue (18 days ago)
Why are big earrings, Hammer pants, and spandex "dishonorable" mentions??!!

Arc Kocsog (2 months ago)
"Carrot" pants - high waist, wide hip area, tight and short ankles
Kelly Kerr (3 months ago)
I hated the shoulder pads because I’ve always had big shoulders. I used to rip them out and save them. I was convinced I could use them for something.......I finally threw them away
Ted Febo (3 months ago)
They weren't called Hammer pants, they were called diaper pants.
Blazing Fire (3 months ago)
What about parachute pants, krinlyn skirts worn on the outside of a pair of leggings, feathering hair (that started in the 70s but got bigger in the eighties.
Blazing Fire (3 months ago)
I hated shoulder pad then and still hate them. I remember back in the eighties I bought a tee shirt that had shoulder pads. They came out with a couple of snips.
Aestaetic Edits (3 months ago)
Lately I’ve been having an obsession with the 80s and it’s fashion, I was born in 1999 😂 I’ve noticed that more 80s/90s style clothes are making a comeback with a modern twist and I’m living for it
Toasty (3 months ago)

Hair was not 'weird,' 'crazy,' or 'bizarre'...it was big. Big hair, that's all.
Michael McConnell (3 months ago)
I was totally new waved out in the 80's, esp. the early.
Daffney Delilah (3 months ago)
I rocked so many of these looks in the 80’s! Wearing a big t-shirt and tying a knot on the side was big too along with belly shirts and fishnet shirts.
adam sara (3 months ago)
AHHH the 80's, when you didn't have to worry about chinese junk
Dra Muah (3 months ago)

Cora Kowal (3 months ago)
When I see 1980s I click hoping that there’s heathers in it
Jessie Fox (3 months ago)
Damn 80 clothes are so ugly DDD:<<< So much cringe DDD:<<<
A. Joshua Sims (4 months ago)
they forgot slouching shoulders and the tripple pleat.. baggy evertything .. baggier the better.. and the multi swatch watch.. nothing less than three
Elizabeth Shields (4 months ago)
Being a relic from the eighties Candies jelly shoes were the the thing...you weren't cool if you didn't have a pair lol! Blue Jean jackets were also a it item, but the leather jacket was a must or you were dead in the water. However you could redeem yourself with a members only jacket. The eighties were awesome and so was the music. My favorite movies from the eighties: the goonies ghostbusters fast times at ridgemont high (I love all the movies from John Hughes I'll say it.) and the lost boys. Any girl that didn't have a serious crush on bad boys are lying. I was ten years old when the lost boys hit theaters but even I noticed Kiefer Sutherland looked hot in his leather jacket on a motorcycle...the other guys didn't look bad either, but I digress.
Super BernieCat (4 months ago)
"lots of makeup" - if only this stayed in the 80's... all these teenagers these days look way more ridiculous than we did in the 80's with their rectangular eyebrows and overly contoured features. The kardashians really do have a lot to answer for, dumbing down of teenagers (and immature people in their twenties, butt implants, lip implants and really ugly make up!)
Satyrlord (4 months ago)
The voice-over commentary is both cringe and "fellow kids" material. Is this really what people want or what YOU believe the people want?
Go Jump (4 months ago)
Leggings with stirrups are missing from the list. Nearly all females from toddlers to great grand mothers got in on that trend.
BassPlayerSusan (4 months ago)
So glad I didn't come of age in the 1980s. I don't think I could've stood the big hair, etc.
justinpop (4 months ago)
There was also skinny ties for men
DarkForrest Gaming (4 months ago)
My youth group is doing an 80's thing...so apparently I have to wear scrunchies, a mini skirt, a bright shirt and a jacket with shoulder pads... as Aaron Burr said... Sweet Jesus....
Penny Brown (4 months ago)
I'm 53. And I remember the 80's AND 90's too. And from what I remember, this video is mixing the two up with the early 1990's.
mad4nertz (4 months ago)
The Swatch watch.
behindthelimb (4 months ago)
Am I the only one who thinks those cool little nylon wallets with velcro should come back in style? They would have a print on them like a palm tree/sunset or a rock band. Those were cool.
Renee Brutvan (4 months ago)
you forgot down vests !
11dsw (4 months ago)
This was my teen years. We thought we were so cool looking. Jeezuz, how ugly could a decade be ?! The fashion, uggghh ! High waisted, pleats everywhere, football player shoulders, whore-ish make-up and worst of all the hair...what were we thinking ? Every decade has its "bad" .. but this decade is a hot mess. Fun times, but come on, no one looks good in an upside down triangle shape. Thank you to Seattle/Nirvana for saving us from the synthesizer, spandex and hairspray.
Peter Gallagher (5 months ago)
they should have included what Tom Selleck wore on Magnum PI.
Magpie Randoms (5 months ago)
I love the eighties. So cool. I was born in 86 so only saw four years of the decade but it's coming back around!

80s girl here. Athletic wear was more prevalent during the early and mid 80s, at least the "leg warmers and leotards" fad. Mid to late 80s, athletic wear was more about track suits, windbreakers, board shorts and high top sneakers. Big Hair (and hair accessories), colorful makeup and clothes, big earrings and just overall being super fun was the whole thing of the 80s. Shoulder pads were indeed a form of feminism, as women were starting to really come into the workplace and being "career women" instead of just wives and mothers. Shoulder pads were a symbol of empowerment. They were a nonverbal message to everyone around that you were a woman to be taken seriously, who was educated, driven, and successful. So don't hate on shoulder pads! Understand and appreciate their message. And get your hair as high as you can, awesome girl. "Stand tall." :)

Michael Miller (5 months ago)
I lived in South Florida in the 80s; NOBODY dressed like Miami Vice. And I hated scrunchies in women’s hair.
Alex Cecere (5 months ago)
How can you possibly forget parachute pants
Rudy Labsilica (5 months ago)
Number one should’ve been Lycra, which was the fabric of choice for most athletic and dance gear back then...
Sandy Beach (5 months ago)
BIG hair......loved it!
Clayton McCann (5 months ago)
What Ms. Mojo doesn't know about the 80s would fill a feature-length film. The voice-over sounds like a grade four student who was tapped in the head by a wrecking ball.
Crispy Bacon 000 (5 months ago)
What about blue eyeshadow or jelly bracelets or leg warmers or fanny packs?!
VivKittie32 (5 months ago)
Didn’t the 80’s steal the shoulder pad trend from the 40’s?
11dsw (5 months ago)
Absolutely ....40's classiness overdone grotesquely.

Tom 814 (5 months ago)
I wish there were women that still wore nylons/pantyhose as much as they did in the 80s. I’d love to find a girlfriend that wears them as much as they did during that time period. I hate the bare leg trend.
Tom 814 (5 months ago)
Stacey Martzall-Groff 👍😍🤗😘
Stacey Martzall-Groff (5 months ago)
Tom 814 I'm 44 and always wear pantyhose!

Tom Newbon (5 months ago)
beat it and thriller jackets
Snowy Titanic (5 months ago)
I still don’t get the 2018 80’s trend. Like, I wanted an 80’s trend that was full on scrunchies and shoulder pads not ice coffee, and rainbow sweaters
Robyn Bramwell (5 months ago)
Do one about the fashion of the 70s!! I
11dsw (5 months ago)
Robyn Bramwell some serious bad.... but some serious funkiness, funnest decade 70's.
Sutter Burns (6 months ago)
I really want to know who started that huge hair trend
pinkfreud62 (5 months ago)
Sutter Burns I think Farrah Fawcett indirectly did in the late 70's. Girls started to want hair like hers and it kinda became exaggerated over time.
Sally (6 months ago)
I love the 80s the fashion the hair styles and the rock and roll bands
Raymond Abella (6 months ago)
There were a lot of shots of "Save By The Bell*. Even though this show aired in 89, it definitely was more of a 90's show. And by the way, you guys forgot the pleaded and tapered pants topped off with a Members Only jacket. 😎 (screw Raybans... rock me a pair of Vaurnets!!!)
candy lion (6 months ago)
Yay for scrunchies. I used to make my own. Yay to mini skirts. Yuck to people wearing sweaters wrapped around their neck. Yuck to yachting wear. Yuck to cardigans. Yuck to Miami Vice style attire. Yay for makeup. But not on guys. Yay for neon. Especially neon coral and neon pink. Yay for acid washed denim. Yay for Menudo. Yay for wild hair. I have the same Guess jean jacket as DJ. Yuck to shoulder pads. Why would a girl want to look like a football player. Rip them out. Yuck to Hammer pants. Yay for tutus. Yuck to geometric prints. Yay for big earrings. Yay for stirrup pants and 80s athletic/ aerobic wear. You forgot to give Debbie Gibson's hat a dishonorable mention.

looove making the grade!
belinda Coba (6 months ago)
did you notice the band on the cover on the acid washed jeans? It was called Menudo and if you watch closely you can see Ricky Martin as a teenager.
hiphop4427 (6 months ago)
The 1980s is my favorite era!! From the fashion to the films like Heathers or Back to the Future
Marie Rosana S. (6 months ago)
We even wore shoulder pads under t-shirts.
fletch61 (6 months ago)
I spent the 80s taking the shoulder pads out of my stuff !
suzan Q (7 months ago)
I grew up in the 80s the first thing I'd do to my clothes when I got home was tear those shoulder pads off!!! Hated shoulder pads
Anna C (7 months ago)
I love scrunchies
Denise Crawford (7 months ago)
I never wore neon! I was more into the new wave/punk/skater look.
k (8 months ago)
I love the 80s so much. I was born in 2003 but honestly??The 80s and the early 2000s are my favorite time periods. I love how colorful and flashy and trashy it was. I even love shoulder pads shsjshksshkshsjshshsjs

Sadly, I had a mullet in the late 80's, going into the early 90. What was I thinking...
R Vandenburg (5 months ago)
You were thinking how are the women going to refuse all this with this Rockin' Mullet!! Long as you're NOT Rockin' a Skullet now you should be fine!!

Camille McALoon (8 months ago)
Love em all
Road Wonder (8 months ago)
An addition to your video would be the California Western wear for women. Ruffled blouses with shoulder pads worn with full skirts and western boots. Thumb thru a few HS yearbook and you'll see.
K.A. Andrews (8 months ago)
Nothing better than old stone washed jeans.
Joji Miller (8 months ago)
And here it comes again
Letty Guerra (8 months ago)
Why do you have to give stupid commentary about this era, when this millenal generation piles on the make up, dress like prostitutes, and have an entitlement mentality. At least we wanted to work, if you call that greed, and we didn't walk around looking like slobs or ladies of the night!
Angela Brown (9 months ago)
I already look like a line backer.
Gina Sousa Branco (9 months ago)
Madonna burst onto the pop scene in 1983 and worked haute scrunchies, leathers and tutus like never seen before. The Queen of Pop reigned on for the rest of the decade, breaking style boundaries with her incredible physique and conical bras
