Olympus Air A01 Lens Style Camera Review - Imported from USA

13 ratings | 2651 views
Hi, Welcome back to Tested by Pixel Movers. Firstly, sorry about the video quality but my main camera broke down and I'm using my Webcam for this. This is my review of my USA imported Olympus Air A01Lens Style Camera. This model is only available in Japan, USA and Canada. I importred this to the UK using B&H Photo in New York and paid $425 (£300 UK sterling). This looks like a lens but is essentially a Micro Four Thirds Camera that will take any MFT lens from Olympus or panasonic (plus other lenses with adapters). It has no viewfinder or monitor but connects to Android or iOS phones via Bluetooth and WiFi. It's a fabulous piece of kit that won't replace a full DSLR camera but is a great addition for those who already own a MFT camera and lens selection. http://www.bhphotovideo.com/ http://www.getolympus.com/us/en/air-a01.html Please note that using this on an Android device in the UK is easy. Just get the OA Central apk here. http://apk-dl.com/oa-central-for-olympus-air. Using it on an iOS device is a little trick as you'll need to set up a US Apple account.

Hi, can you list all the lenses used in this video? I looking for lenses electronic compatible with this device (olympus air owner here)

Thank you for this review. A friend is sending me an Air for my birthday. Thanks so much for going through the features. Do you think the lag has anything to do with the proximity of the phone's antennae to where the air body's antenna is? Perhaps a more direct position would improve lag.

That explains why my friend would give me something that costs $300US for free. It's his used one. It's like the lump of coal at Christmas

I eneded up selling mine as it was very slow and there was little to no support from Olympus.
