LITTLE ROCK, AR -- A legally blind man is speaking out after saying he was injured when a Little Rock police officer slammed him to the ground.
It happened just before 4 p.m. on June 1. Eric Wilson had just left work and was walking home along 65th Street. Around that time, police say they got a call about someone fitting Wilson's description running away from or chasing someone and who appeared to be afraid.
Wilson is legally blind and says he only sees shadows. He says he didn't know who was calling him.
Wilson says the officers told him to put his hands behind his back before taking him to the ground.
"I was trying to figure out what was going on and before I knew it, I was slammed to the ground," Wilson said.
In a police report an officer said Wilson pulled away violently, causing him to lose grip and that he was afraid Wilson would hit him or his partner with the handcuff.
Wilson and his lawyer Reggie Koch, say that's not what the video shows.
That night, Wilson says he went to the hospital with back pain and was diagnosed with a lower back strain.
there is absolutely nothing on earth that is lower, more sleazy and less trustworthy than an American cop.........even the mafia have more honor..........they are so low as to be beneath insult.....cowardly bullies who lie, thieve. murder and deal drugs and now due to the coke that they must be using are even beating up disabled people............and then they fucking cover for each other when they do bad shit........they even have the cheek to make up lies and excuses and to try to vilify the innocent victim who they injured or killed,,,...........seriously it is not worth to pay the taxes to fund such debased low quality criminality that has the cheek to masquerade as police work.
So people say well it's just a couple of bad cops here and there. Well there was two of them. That's 100% on that one. Watching hundreds of these incidents. Sometimes with four five six eight cops. Never does one step up to the plate. that's 100% my friend.
I witnessed a terrible sight last week. A bus load of cops drove off a bridge...and there was an empty seat... Which one of these cops is the good one?
He is Legally blind. I went to Arkansas school for the Blind with him. The school teaches blind and low vision students how to commute around the city without being in danger. There's also tons of technology that helps visually impaired individuals function as close to normal as a person with 20/20 vision. He works at the Arkansas Lighthouse for the Blind (as the video stated) in which about 95% or more positions are filled by visually impaired women and men.
OK guys, i know those cops reacted wrongly and they should be punish
but, if that guys is legally blind and can only see shadows ,
why is he looking at his phone??? like a normal person? is he taking advantage of the government?
minute 1:01... so, he's looking at shadows on his phone?? how can he be legally blind and have a phone?
well, good for that " legally blind guy" and hope he gets a lot of money....
hi bob. ok u may be right. it just the way the news showed suddenly him looking at his phone
it made me think he is not all blind and can still see a little.. tx for comment , hope not to offend anybody
He is Legally blind. I went to Arkansas school for the Blind with him. The school teaches blind and low vision students how to use hundreds of different technologies, As far as his eye condition goes... You can;t expect the local news to go into the complete details of his eye condition. With most visually impaired and blind individuals, their eye conditions are way more complicated than "he can only see shadows". Secondly, he's been visually impaired for his entire life. Therefore, whatever he describes to his doctor or anyone else is from his point of view. Meaning, what shadows are to him, may or may not differ from a person with clear vision.
and the story goes on and on. These cops must fit <70 ID because of their handling of this innocent individual. Same story 'power and prestige' comes first. We are in the right to do what we did. Read this, most street Police are ignorant and worthy of the <70 score, they often have multiply issues including drugs, alcohol and even wife beating. Yep, it's not hard to hide a lot of it, except for those very close to the person.
These CRIMINAL COWARDS should get sued, fired, loaded onto a rocket and shot into the sun. And when these COWARDS are permanently removed from breathing the same air as us, the world be will a better place. At the very least make sure they can't sire any children. It would only pollute the human genepool. And we can't use anymore COWARDS like these.
I've seen several documentaries about police academies in America. It always looks like military boot camp. They learn to obey orders, combat techniques and hunting down criminals. Law and proper procedures are secondary. Deescalation, protection of civilians, helping people in need are afterthoughts at best.
"Ah sinful nation, a people laden with iniquity, a seed of evildoers, children that are corrupters: they have forsaken the LORD, they have provoked the Holy One of Israel unto anger, they are gone away backward" (Isaiah 1:4)
Again, one example of how unskilled US police are really. How do these
so-called police officers even call themselves policemen. It's no wonder
that people in America are about to shoot police and do not blame them
maybe they also deserve to be killed. Everyone knows that American police are the biggest joke in the world. Hope someone kills these cops and their entire family.
lying pieces of pig shit cop roaches will say and do anything to abuse people, and those cop roach thugs need to be fired and brought up on criminal charges, as well as face a federal civil rights lawsuit.
